Mack, it would have been less passive-aggressive if you just said "Sally told him anywhere, but that shithole they call Austin."

I probably read more into his crap than I should, but even comments like that to McMurphy seem backhanded.

That wasn't a comment to McMurphy.  He said it in the press conference and it did not feel directed at UT/Austin in the least.

Hey fucktard....   Mack famously made a comment towards the end of his tenure on a trip in Florida that he was out "killing himself" while ostensibly recruiting.   Meanwhile, Strong inherited a roster devoid of much talent.

Mack stole millions of dollars from all of us.

Yeah I remember.

Saying you hope he actually kills himself is the stupidest thing possible. If it was a joke it's just flat awful. If it was remotely serious seek out a mental health professional immediately.

He wanted the UVA job that Bronco got

That's because he didn't want to play the Hoos again, as he went 3-7 against UVA as UNC coach.  Other than FSU, that was the team he had the hardest time against.

Not a huge surprise, but Mack is canning much of the existing staff.

North Carolina: Per sources, the following coaches will not be retained by Mack Brown — quarterbacks coach Keith Heckendorf, wide receivers coach/special teams coordinator Luke Paschall, defensive line coach Deke Adams, cornerbacks coach Henry Baker, linebackers coach Mike Ekeler, and strength and conditioning coach Lou Hernandez.

You're reading more into his crap than you should. Sally is from the Chapel Hill area, and getting her to move to Austin in the first place was a hard sell. They live in Austin now, for cryin' out loud.

And we sure as heck ain't hiring him back.

Just seems more delicious when aggy has to announce it.

Did I miss the OC hire? He hired the TE coach/bagman before announcing the OC?

FIFY.

Is that not what Jimbo did as well? Is it not easier to hire a staff when they know the bagman has already been secured?

I am actually planning to move to the Chapel Hill area next summer, so this whole thing seems kinda surreal to me. I seriously doubt I will be investing in UNC football tickets (probably wouldn't have, anyway, but this seals the deal).
Tim?

Mack hiring Tim Brewster makes me think of Lloyd Christmas.  Just when I thought Mack couldn’t be any dumber, he goes and does something like this...AND TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF!  Suck it aggy!  Suck it long and suck it hard!

That fucking weasel-laced trip to Florida.  Not even sure who's playing that evening. Just knows he's 1000+ miles from Austin, running from the inevitable, and doing his best to railroad what others are planning to put into place.

So UNC is a better job than aggy? Cool, good to know, no more evidence needed. He didn't even have to give him a bullshit title to make it a promotion, LOL

True, but most employees only work about 15 minutes in any given day, so he’s like the rest of us.

Mack is just coming in there to try and right the ship and get out in a few years. He might be able to get a pretty good young assistant that will understand that the head coaching job will be his when Mack leaves.

Lulz, like Mack can credibly sell a coach in waiting role.  That would take a special kind of gullible.

Mack casually drags his nuts over aggy's face once again, and from North Carolina, no less.  Reminds me of the line in Raiders of the Lost Ark: "Once again, aggy, we see that there is nothing that you can possess that I cannot take away."

He was sealing the deal on a 3-star LB in Florida who became a 2-year team capitain at TE and 1st team all-conference FB his sr year.

Thanks Mack.

He does hold a grudge.  He never forgot about that bullshit they pulled in ‘99.

Yep. I can only imagine the conversations he and Brewster have had about Brewster living in hell for the last year.
