Where is ChrisO getting his numbers? Sounds like something a vatnik would  post.

He's translating Putin's comments, so they're definitely inflated. 3D will be around shortly to critique Viper about this 😉

Putin wants all Russian soldiers pardoned of warcrimes, regardless of when they were committed.

Quote

Russia submitted a bill to parliament pardoning all small and medium crimes of participants of the so-called "SMO". Both professionals and mobiks will be exempted from criminal prosecution even if the crimes were committed before the law came into force. Those who receive state awards or retired from service will also be exempt. The Russian army is becoming criminal not only de-facto but also de-jure.

Why would I critique Viper?  ChrisO's post made it clear he was translating Putin.  Your post suggested she was translating Putin, too, yet she wasn't.  She drew a conclusion from what was said.

If you post something misleading you should just own it rather than be a bitch.

It was just a joke, pal. Sometimes I have time to spell out my reasoning for sharing something, sometimes I don't. In this case I didn't have time, and I presumed that anyone who watched the actual video would be clear on what was truly being said because it's not exactly a subtle inconsistency.

Anyway, here's reporting on the Nord Stream explosion. The CIA told Ukraine not to move forward on their plan (previously reported) to destroy the pipeline after the Netherlands' intelligence told the US about Ukraine's plan.

When the Russians do something especially terrible, and Russian sympathizers rush to defend them and claim they couldn’t  have or wouldn’t have done it, well, give them enough time and the Russian leaders or state TV, or both, will eventually admit to it.

Yep, all of this.  It is functionally identical to the element of our domestic information space that is occupied by folks who happen to be pro/sympathetic to Russia: in the same breath, they 1) deny doing X, and then 2) brag about doing X.  That way, in whatever argument they have, they can point to whichever statement serves their argument better....without any regard for which statement is true.

This is disinformation 101, and it is the only language that Russia speaks.

At this point, the safe thing to do is to presume every individual with a Russian passport is an active participant in or an accessory to a war crime.  Expel them and deport them to Russia.  All of them.  Want to stay in a country other than Russia?  Then surrender your Russian passport and seek asylum as a refugee.  Those are the two options: you are a refugee, or you are an accessory and deported to Russia.

You do know that the Russians have been forcing Ukrainians to turn over their passports to be replaced with Russian ones, right?  You're going to make them all seek asylum in their home country?

It shouldn't be rocket science to sort out the ones that previously had a Ukrainian passport.

The Guardian is reporting that Kadyrov reached out to Ukrainian intelligence for any information on Delimkhanov saying he hadn't heard anything from him in days. Ukrainian media is saying his convoy got hit by artillery and he dead.

That is a great, great read. It could definitely be part of a movie.

Go to the sporting goods store. From the files, obtain form 4473. These will contain descriptions of who has passports and where they reside.

Sounds like the Russians are learning locally. Good thing their command and control structure is still all fucked up.

Thanks. It’s unfortunate that not all news is good news, but this is part of the story.
Would F-16s help later the AD to where this Russian tactic wouldn’t work?
