In Rostov-on-Don, the hospital is overwhelmed with wounded soldiers, forcing many to lie in the corridors, with some even on the floor. Soldiers are frustrated, complaining that instead of constructing an additional hospital, local officials are preoccupied with preparing New Year decorations.

Yuriy "Shustryy" is a member of the 🇩🇪Leopard 2A6 tank crew in the 🇺🇦21st separate mechanized brigade. His crew cleared several forest strips from the enemy, withstood 12 hits and managed to leave the battlefield on its own.

His tank broke through three forest strips, after which it came under heavy enemy fire. Everything was flying at the Leopard: shells, ATGMs and FPV drones. After several hits, the tank's gun failed, the EW station stopped working, and the observation devices were destroyed. The vehicle could only maneuver.

The crew, practically "blindly" and under enemy fire, left the battlefield, broke through landings, and destroyed enemy positions. In total, the Leopard had 12 hits, but the tank returned to its own.

"Thanks to our tank — it survived," says "Shustryy".

The Russian T-90M tank may have achieved a world record in the "turret yeet" category following an ammunition detonation. Struck by fighters from the National Guard's special unit, its turret reportedly soared an astonishing 200 meters into the air. This remarkable feat took place near Kurakhove.

Remember the Russian leader assassinated a few weeks ago?

In Sevastopol, the head of the missile ship headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, Valery Trankovsky, was killed after a successful special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). As a result of the explosion, the Russian captain lost his legs and died from blood loss. Moment of the explosion in the assassination of Valery Trankovsky that happened last week

MOSCOW, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Russia has arrested two suspects believed to be behind the assassination of a senior naval officer who was killed by a car bomb in Crimea last week, investigators said on Tuesday.

Valery Trankovsky, a naval captain and the chief of staff of the 41st brigade of Russia's missile ships in the Black Sea, died in a black saloon car that was blown up in the city of Sevastopol. A source in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) told Reuters at the time that it was responsible for the operation, describing Trankovsky as one of the most senior Russian officials that Kyiv has targeted in this way.

Quote

Russia's state Investigative Committee said the two suspects were a 47-year-old man, accused of making and detonating the bomb, and a 38-year-old woman who it said had carried out surveillance on the target.

In a video published by Russian military news outlet Zvezda, the pair were shown confessing to the crime. The man said he had been recruited by the SBU in the summer of 2023 and given the task of "liquidating" a high-ranking military officer. Their faces were blurred out in the video and it was not clear if they were speaking freely or under duress.

The Chief of the Defence Staff has met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the UK's continued support for his country – amid Russia's threats of further bombings.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin led the delegation which spoke to the President and his top military figures to outline how future support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's illegal invasion would continue.

This is who Radakin is

The head of the armed forces will remain in post for another year after he emerged as a key player in helping Ukraine with its battle plans against Russia, it can be revealed.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, 58, was due to retire in November this year after serving three years as chief of the defence staff. However, he has been asked to stay on until autumn 2025 by the prime minister. It is understood that Rishi Sunak’s decision has been approved by the King.

Quote

Sources close to Radakin pointed to his “shuttle diplomacy” last summer between Washington and Kyiv, in which he held key meetings in person with Ukrainian military chiefs amid White House anxiety about the US appearing to be too closely involved in the war.

Quote

He travelled without any British ministers to Kyiv to meet President Zelensky to discuss Ukraine’s strategy and how the West could help. A Ukrainian military source said he was liked for his “wise strategic thinking” and had been helping the country with its battle plans, without going into detail for security reasons.

You post great content and analysis on this subject. But, this post should have gone into CR.

He’s purposely and openly spreading misinformation and disinformation to his mouth-breathing audience.  That’s newsworthy.

A positive sign

A top Senate ally of Donald Trump Mike Rounds poured cold water over the idea of negotiating a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, saying the Kremlin couldn’t be trusted and would see any peace proposals as a sign of Western weakness.

️"As much as I would like to believe we can negotiate with a tyrant, I suspect we may be deceiving ourselves. Do you believe that this tyrant, if you offer him a part of a free country, do you think he’s gonna stop? I wish I could say there’s an easy way out, there’s not."

Another quote from the article:

The impassioned comments from Rounds, which he stressed were not the position of the incoming Trump administration, still represent a starkly differing view in the Republican party from Trump’s vows to broker a peace deal with Russia within days of assuming the presidency. They also reflect a pro-Ukraine view that is widely-held in the Senate Republican caucus even if other camps in the MAGA world are pushing Trump to cut U.S. military aid to Ukraine when he takes office in January.

He talked about our debt and deficit but I wish he would have made it clear how little we’ve spent “on” Ukraine (IN AMERICA). People hear “billions” and simply can’t put it in perspective.

So much this. The two have to be inextricably linked. When you say “Spend money on Ukraine” people get their hackles up. We need to say “Spend money in America for Ukraine” or the like every single time.

Maybe it just shows that if men get nagged enough, they'll even go to war to get out of the house. And maybe that is just what women want.

I'll go out on a limb and bet there is more than one Russian wife who got her husband to sign some "Volunteer" papers while he was hammered on wadka.

Had to log into my UK bank account yesterday to move some stuff around, and a pop up window informed me that "HSBC will no longer process any payments to or from Belarus or Russia.  For payments involving those countries, you should make alternate arrangements."  Was kinda surprised HSBC hadn't already cut that off, but then.....they're kind of an evil bank (I really didn't have a choice as to who I could open an account with from the US).  That said....it's getting harder and harder for ordinary people and businesses to have anything to do with Russia.  What a "cut of your nose to spite your face" move Russia has made.

🔥 A Ukrainian FPV drone drops a thermite munition on a tank. First, the munition burns through the cope cage, and then through the tank's turret.
