So if Europe stops buying, Russia has to find the equivalent in buyers or stop production because they don’t have the storage.

Disgusting to see Modi over there fanboying with those 2.

"A little help in improving the defense of our city,” a Facebook post displaying steel spikes said. “All forges in the city make barrier elements. Ukrainian armorers are famous in the amateur blacksmith community for their work. If you’ve been to a [convention] and seen someone in a steel breastplate, there’s a decent chance it came from a Ukrainian forge.”

According to Jordan Newman, an amateur blacksmith and geologist in Texas, Ukraine’s land has unique mineral properties that have made it a hotspot for smithing.

“The country is lucky enough to have Precambrian metamorphosed sedimentary rocks rich in iron ore that are easy to refine,” Newman said. “It's mostly hematite in quartz so when you smelt it you end up with slag that is easy to remove and won't contaminate your bloom. The silica also creates a glassy flux which further protects the refined iron from oxygen in the atmosphere. If you're a blacksmith in the early iron age when metallurgy was trial and error this would have been a blessing.”

I would love to see a list on Ukraine's Russian targets and the reasoning behind it.

Ukraine’s targets should all be supply chain related. Storage and transportation. Like oil tanks and bridges.

russian resistance can go after anything.

Anybody know if Russia has anything similar to these capabilities?  From all the OSINT/aviation intel folks, NATO/Sweden are constantly running these missions all around Ukraine

Russia has two very good Tu- 214R aircraft. They have some rather older Antonio An-30s.  An An-30 apparently flew into Swedish airspace just today, so they are playing the same game.

I’ve said it from day one - whoever has more Precambrian metamorphosed sedimentary rocks rich in iron ore is going to win this in the end.

Russia fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, 'never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go in against a Ukranian who has more Precambrian metamorphosed sedimentary rocks rich in iron ore!’

Shame he wasn't killed.  Next time.

I’m stunned that there seems to be some verification that he was wounded.   That’s some amazing intel on that gathering that either NATO or the Ukrainians developed.

Would have been fantastic if he was killed.

Welp, Moldova issue may get resolved

Transnistrians are not media deprived like Russians.  They know Ukraine is slaughtering Orcs by the bucket load. I do not think those enlistment centers will be busy.

One might say they have fallen victim to both, but here we are doing our best to Europeanize Ukraine.

Do they wish to be Russian, or independent, or something else?  Sounds like Russia is going to press them to act accordingly.

Like we saw in the videos from Crimea and other parts of occupied Ukraine, orc press gangs will try to fill them.  The question then becomes how young Moldovan men react to those attempts.

Transdnistria has been simmering since the breakup of the USSR and it’s honestly tough to say what they “want.” They ostensibly did not want the USSR to go away, that was the original reason for existence— if Moldova broke away or joined Romania, they would stay with the USSR.  They had a short conflict over that, Russia propped them up. Since then they are one of those frozen conflict zones where Russia controls the temperature.

This version of “Endless Love,” a duet originally sung by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie in 1981, is being performed by Alejandro Manzano, from the band Boyce Avenue, and Connie Talbot. This video was posted to the Boyce Avenue YouTube page on Feb. 20, 2022, with the caption: “Boyce Avenue and Connie Talbot’s acoustic cover of “Endless Love” by Lionel Richie ft. Diana Ross.”

Good version though.
