why did the Cavs pick a PG when they already have Sexton?

Same reason the Heat took Dwayne Wade when they had Eddie Jones; if you think a guy is going to be a star, you go get him even if a mediocre to decent talent is there at the same position.

Jones was old at the time.

My issue is the Cavs now have an undersized backcourt with little defense to be found.

I doubt Sexton is long for Cleveland, unless he's comfortable becoming a Lou Williams type off the bench.

or he might be better than the new guy.  I doubt the Cavs play them together though.

Probably an unpopular opinion here, but I wish a real team won the lottery instead of the team with the most apathetic fanbase.

don't the Spurs pick a Euro like 80% of the time?

Manu was South American and there was a fellow countryman of his on the squad from 2005-09.

But yes, the Spurs and Mavs have a similar philosophy.

Tiago.  The Spurs had only selected 2 global players in the first round the last decade coming in.  So.... yea, it just feels that way.

Similar philosophy, different results.

The Cavs are planning on playing them together and are hoping to have an EC version of Dame and McCollum.

Interested in all of these Canadians going. Who's the best Canadian to ever play in the NBA? Do they have any HoFers?

(steve nash, derp, so outside of that I guess)

Matisse Thybulle seems like an awesome kid. Pumped for him to be a Sixer.

I really like him and wanted him for the spurs but I'm not sure the sixers should be trading up to get another guy who can't shoot.

Philly sports teams just kind of throw shit at the wall and hope things happen. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.

The Wiggins ship has sailed my friend. Maybe you're being facetious but he doesn't have what it takes to be an impact player.

So a Robert Covington replacement who needs to learn to shoot?

Somewhat yea.... He's long but only about 6'6".  Probably can develop a 3 pointer and become a 3 and D guy.  Maybe the best wing defender in the draft tho.  Spurs were looking at him.

There's always room on the OKC roster for guys who can't shoot.  They're prolly disappointed they couldn't draft him.

High upside.... sort of like Mitchell Robinson from last year.  Lost a year of development.

i can't believe that a guy who played for nobody last year is being taken ahead of Nasir Little. And if Bol Bol stays healthy he's a total stud as well.
