Also going for the Commander in Chief Trophy. It has been a while for them. They had a good season.

Army won it last year.  By beating Air Force earlier this year, Army ensured the trophy will stay in West Point another 12 months, but this is for their second straight outright CIC win. I am not certain, but I think that would be a first for Army to win it two straight years.

No idea why that's Ordinance, but then I'm full civilian so there are many things I don't get

Yep, that's my kid too. I'm guessing they both did their AIT at "the Home of Ordinance" so yeah.

Is that like ...um...normal- to go from rotary to fixed wing aircraft?

Not normal at all. I applied for a lateral transfer to the Strike Fighter community via the Navy Personnel office. F/A-18 community has been hurting for pilots since most of them have bolted for the airlines, so that was one of my keys to pulling it off.

My Dad served in the US Navy in WWII and was on his way to Japan as part of our invasion force.  As maniacally as the Japanese fought for each island in the Pacific, if Truman doesn't drop the A-bombs, there's a really good chance I'm not here today.  Thank you, President Truman, and Go Navy Beat Army!!

My old man was a PFC USMC Wake Island defender at the outbreak of WWII.  Captured Dec 22, 1941 ... spent the duration in several Japanese prison camps.  I'm damn LUCKY to be here.

Gameday is at Philly. So awesome. A few great signs so far:

"Berets are French hats. Go Navy."

"Midshipmen wear floats in the bathtub."

"Army killed Stan Lee."

and even an "OU still sucks. Hook Em."

“Navy goes to Waffle House Sober”

”Corso ordered the Code Red”

”Pollack cheers for the Coast Guard”

Family and friends on both sides, so I usually just root for the underdog.  Thing is, given Navy's run over the past decadeish, I've become accustomed to rooting for Army.  I think it would be cool to see them get 10 wins.

Go Army!

Dad was in 82nd Airborne. Jumped the Rhine and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. An uncle was in the Pacific in the Army. Hard to imagine what they and all the troops went through. The Greatest Generation.
