Season 1 on Netflix.

I need to rewatch that during Christmas. Such greatness.

Just stumbled across this. SyFy is running a Happy marathon (sort of) the next 3 nights at 1am starting NOW. 2 episodes tonight, 4 tomorrow and 2 more the next night. DVR set.

Posted in the Netflix thread, but this was one strange, entertaining show. Meloni and Oswalt were perfectly cast and it worked well.

Forgot him, he was also perfectly cast and played it well. The scenes with the cops mom, him with the kids in the school setting, and when he got interrupted with the guy in the shower were creepy good.

Episode 1 was paced a little slow, but they had to lay out the backstory. Had a pretty good idea who the bunny was before the reveal. Meloni is excellent.

The prison visit with the old lady and Isabelle (Isabella?) was wild.

The dark humor in the show is so off the charts.  It feels like each little minor act is full of so much that the re-watchablity quotient is very high.

Take your daughter to work day! The OTB was pretty good, but Smoothie stole the show with the completely skinned guy. Need to keep an eye on him.

Anyone still following this? Not as good as last season, but still rated "WTF?".

Meloni is fucking awesome. His range is phenomenal. Even though he's smaller than the comix Sax, he IS Nick Sax. Likewise, only Patton Oswald could be Happy!

Season finale next week.

Yeah, I watch it every week. Just too weird to discuss, most of the time. Cool twist to find out

Happy has some form of lust deity in his DNA, maybe Priapus.

Pretty good season. Not as good as S1, but that was a high bar. Goldblum was perfect casting. Looks like next season is Halloween. bartscott.gif

Wow, that was quick.

It looks like Happy!'s wild ride has officially come to an end. SYFY has officially cancelled the Christopher Meloni-led drama, just months after its second season debuted. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the cancellation was a "tough decision" that was ultimately made due to lackluster ratings.

The report does outline that Happy! - alongside freshman series Deadly Class - are being shopped around to other possible platforms by their respective studios. Happy! reportedly performs well on Netflix, and is said to be the best second-window drama show in male and teen demos (outside of You, which has now become a Netflix original after being canceled by Lifetime).

Well, furk, maybe Netflix can pick it up and we get to see Mer's naughty bits. Would not be the first time she has shown some skin. Yes, I looked her up some time during S1, sue me. They are worth a gander, look for some movie or show called Assassin's Tale.

Hopefully somebody picks it up that isn't restricted like SyFy. They pushed the basic cable envelope. Let's see some unrestricted Meloni/Oswald. Crank this shit to 11!

This show is really out there. I had to take a little break from it but I'm only a couple of episodes behind.

I liked the first season much more.

Just read about the cancellation.  I honestly didn't enjoy Season 2 as much either.  Season 1 felt way more fun.

Not that there weren't entertaining moments, it just felt like they were further between then the helter-skelter on the run type thing Season 1 was.
