Something that may have been poignant.  Rutgers was selling out to block the punt and left themselves wide open to fake.  Punter Jesse Mirco saw that, and ran the ball.  You could say he shouldn't have do it.  The game was at hand and you don't wanna give your next opponents any tape.  Either Mirco had a standing order to run when he got the look, no matter what; or he was allowed to free lance.  We don't know if the decision was on the player or on the coaches.

The hit on Mirco was egregious,  He was clearly out of bounds, in a game that was no longer a contest.  All that said, Coach Day was wrong to lose his cool. Among other reasons, it's bad for your players to see it.  Speculation that Day and Schiano will be fined for their dustup.  We'll see.

None of that needed to happen.  Punter could have still rugby kicked as he rolled to his right. Still had plenty of time and space before reaching the LOS. Seemed like a shit move to run for it when your already beating the shit out of a shitty team.

He should be the one to want to leave...so many great seasons but can't beat the bully, even when they're down...sucks to be him, but OSU does expect Titles and to beat Michigan. I get it.

They shouldn't be in a rush to get rid of him though.

Firing him would be asinine until we see what they do in the CFP but they are maybe the most ruthless program to coach for.

Mack had the OU monkey on his back until he didn't and then should have won 2 national titles.

Harbaugh (and every other Michigan coach since '03) had the tOSU monkey on his back until he didn't and made two CFPs and won a title.

Bama had beaten LSU fucking EIGHT straight seasons until the Burrow NC season.

FSU owned Miami from '95-'99 and then Miami owned them from '00-'04.

Rivalries can be extremely streaky but it just takes one season to turn it around.

Now - if they trip on their dicks in their CFP game after blowing it at home as 21 pt favorites then I think his seat gets pretty toasty.

LSau hiring Woodward, OSU hiring Bjork, and aggy replacing him with Alberts. What did we do to be so blessed?

We survived Patterson and Perrin. That was our punishment

Would love to see Bjork try his hand at adequately replacing Day. Someone in the comments mentioned Matt Campbell, which I fully support.

Vrabel would be a hoot. I don't think he wants to put up with the booster circus despite it being the alma mater.

Deion would be a spectacle and Freeman is usually good for 1-2 head scratchers a year and would fit right in.

My vote is Deion

Let's say Day gets let go and sits a year waiting for a new job. Would Oklahoma hire him in 2026?

Yes. OU aspires to win many but not all games now that they are in the SEC. Texas would be Ryan's new Michigan.
