Ugh, Vince.  You would think with his high net worth that he would want to live to enjoy it.  This is still one of my favorite Vince moments:

Friend gave me tickets to see him in Dallas. I cannot even begin to describe how horrible it was. Apparently Slaughter is his backing band and they alternate during the year. The best part of the show was their set, and I had forgotten the impact Dana Strum has made on the industry as an AR guy.

I think that's Shannon Larkin on drums (of Godsmack, formerly of Snot (RIP), and a pretty badass drummer) so he probably just grabs whoever he can get.

Vince Neil has always been bad live.  He skips words and shortens notes and his voice just doesn't translate to sounding good live.  I'm guessing he's still having to trot himself out there because he's one of the celebrities that's in major debt.

I saw Vince 5 years ago at some shitty casino gig (snoqualmie casino).  He wasn’t good and disappeared mid gig for 10+ minutes while his band just kept going.  Wife and I suspect he had to suck some oxygen because he was so winded singing every third word and moving around a little bit.  He looked 10 times better then than now.

It's not worth it to see Vince Neil live anymore, it's sad the state he has reached now.  I've seen him several times the last few years, the last 2 times were at the M3 Festival in Maryland and everytime I see him, he just gets worse and worse.  Like TK421 said, he only sings maybe 1/3 of the words and does not sound well at all.  The only enjoyable thing about his shows now is watching Zoltan Chaney rocking out behind the drum kit, that dude is an absolute madman!

It looks like he has cirrhosis of the liver and a belly full of ascites. Seriously.

I had to look up ascites and I think you are right.  Jesus, he’s a mess.

Yeah, that isn't him just being a fat ass and gorging himself on food, he's clearly got some health issues going on.

Speaking of Motley Crue, we're finally going to get that The Dirt movie they've been saying their doing for the last 15 years or so.  Comes out March 22, 2019 on Netflix.  They are also releasing a few new songs for the album but I wasn't a huge fan of Saints of Los Angeles and I'm imagining it's going to be something similar.

Videos taken at Motley Crue’s concerts this year are laughable. I would go to the concert to see Def Leppard but won’t since I don’t want my money to be split with Vince. he doesn’t look like he even cares.

You would think that the sound team could hide Vince's voice problems but then again perhaps these recent videos are somehow isolating his vocals. If he sounds this bad during the heavier/loud songs, I can't imagine the singing in home sweet home.

Finally I get the point of the nostalgia rock shows are not to sit there and critique the band. It's about getting drunk, singing as loud as you can and pretending you're 21 again.

That said, I saw Guns n Roses in the 90s and I would never ruin that, overblown as it was compared to 88, by trying to go see them today.

Then again, there are plenty of bands I've seen in the past that I'd see today.  I think hard rock/metal thrives so much on image, than no matter how much I still guilty pleasure the music, it's not something I want to deal with in a group setting with the older version of the band I enjoyed when I was much younger as well.

I saw GnR numerous times in their prime and half the time they were too fucked up or wrapped up in pissing matches with each other to care. I saw Axl & The Other Guys at House of Blues with a couple thousand fans around 2014 and he was horrible.  After reconciling with Duff and Slash I saw them again at NRG with a massive crowd a couple years later and he was much much better. This tour looks good so far as well.  Vince obviously isn't motivated or concerned about how he sounds or looks.
