I see the meta thread, but its 500 replies long.

Anyhow, no internet at the duck lease. We have 4G service and can hotspot via cell phones. What we mainly want is college football. Downside is that it is too far for a terrestrial antenna (90ish miles and huge trees).

Basically wanting FSSW, cbs, ABC, and fox for that. Also all the espn and other cable sports. No care for Netflix or movie channels.

Actually had to install a WeBoost cellular repeater on a 20 foot pole to get 4G since we are 7.4 miles from the nearest VZW tower in rugged terrain, but good now and away from 1x.

Ahhhh maybe not. Missed the 90 mile thing.

If you don’t have LTE you’re fucked I think.

We have 4g/lte.

My concern is a stick I can plug in to the TV and steam using an android or apple phone as a hotspot. This is where my ignorance kicks in.

Ok 4g isn’t necessarily lte, but if you do have lte you can stream from phone to tv.

Are you apple or android?

If apple just get an Apple TV.

If android chromecast.

But I’d take the device home with you and do updates before you get there.

Just get Dish to go, pay for it during season & turn it off when you are done. We have the top 120 package + local channels & it's approx 80 a month. Just need to buy a dish & receiver.
