Too bad nobody put a joint in his bags.

Russia, where’s the Novichok when you really need it?

Here’s hoping the windows in his hotel room are secure, would be a shame if he “accidentally” fell out of one.

Fingers crossed he gets abducted and sent to the front line to fight.

Apparently you don’t understand how Russian intelligence works. Tucker is an asset. He couldn’t be safer in Moscow.

I don’t know how much clearer the situation can be. Johnson has found a reason to nix every single Ukraine funding bill, and as they are killing the Senate bill, Tucker pops up in Ukraine.

Look for all the lines from this interview to pop up in the mouths of the Freedom Caucus and MAGA-land.  Ukraine aid is over, Trump decided it.

lunch and ballet?  holy fuck!

If this was a Saturday in the fall, this would be the worst torture a man could endure.

Yeah, if there were a man in this scenario, that would suck for him.

I dunno, a vodka filled lunch followed by watching skinny women in tights dance around sounds better than the usual 110-degree Northwest Oklahoma State game in mid-September.

When the Kremlin arranges trips to the ballet for their guests part of the package is often meeting the ballerinas which does not suck. Well, it does but……

Cool, then I'm sure Tucker got lots of fabulous autographs.

It's kind of Tucker's thing, his jam, his brand.

This is way up on the weird shit that seems unbelievable list for the past 8 years.  And there's a fuck ton of stuff on that list.

Has it occurred to any of you that Tucker might be one of the good guys and he’s over in Russia to steal one of their cool new fighter jets?

Hopefully he will meet the group that is assassinating Russian air force big shots

Tucker Carlson is a non-zero chance of being a Russian asset and over here we have people believing Taylor Swift is some sort of Pentagon psy-op.

You don’t need to be an “agent” to be an asset.  The Russians are skillful, sometimes more than us, at exploiting what people really need and want.

Tucker is driven by resentment and anger at the elites who reject him. He tried to join the CIA and wasn’t wanted or taken seriously.  He tried to be an important and thoughtful journalist and commentator and was laughed at.  He thought he had respect from the Murdochs and the elite conservative class but they tossed him overboard.

And finally, the Russians.  Who will tell him he is not just a real journalist, he’s the only real one. The one man in the West who might make a difference, who might shape history. The only one who can be trusted to tell the story of Vladimir Putin, the man with his finger on the button.  The Tsar of All Russia.

It’s an old ploy. Despotic flattery.

This.  Don't overthink it.

And no, there is nothing inherently wrong with interviewing a world leader -- even (maybe especially) a despotic, shitty one.  What there is a LOT wrong with is doing so in order to be a fawning simp and simply amplifying that leader's message instead of questioning and challenging it.  Which direction do you think Tucker will go?  Yeah, a real shocker there.
