hot sports opinion here

if I was an NFL GM I would take a hard pass on Ed Oliver.....he racked up stats in a shit conference and he is soft as fuck with an attitude problem and an ego problem....he will be a huge NFL bust

Nah. They’ll give him a shot. Far from the first prima dona to put on an nfl uni.

Wow, sideline reporter QK is really determined to make excuses for Houston.

there is a lot of shit going on with their program between players out and coordinators either gone or checking out, but that is the kind of shit that happens (especially with the coaching) when you have administrators and boosters that try and run the program through the media and try and hand cuff coaches and put their nose in there

they missed out on better coaches because of tilman insisting that he would lock a coach down with a huge buyout and then they had to take Applewhite and then their fans proceeded to shit on him and the president fueled them more with her "more than 8 wins" comment.....and of course that makes coordinators hesitant to come there (so you get a shit DC)  or it makes them want to GTFO ASAP like Briles

their program is barely holding together and Major will take the brunt of the fall

Hopefully first drive of 2nd half ends with Woolfolk getting a TD.  When shit got tough, they always seemed to call on 33 to get them out of the bind.

Throw the dude a bone on way out.

Davidson too.  Guy has always played his ass off.

Maybe this has something to do with it.

"Mark D'Onofrio has been relieved of his duties as defensive coordinator at the University of Houston, coach Major Applewhite announced Sunday.

D'Onofrio, who joined the program as part of Applewhite's first staff in 2017, had one year left on his contract that pays $400,000.

"I appreciate Mark for being a great professional and hard worker as part of our staff," Applewhite said in a statement. "He and his family have shown complete dedication to the Houston football program and our student-athletes while on our team."

A search has begun for a replacement. Outside linebackers coach Dan Carrel will call defensive plays in the Cougars' bowl game."
