Remember a long time ago at some sporting events and rodeos there'd be a little monkey dressed like a cowboy mounted on a sheep dog and they'd just fucking haul ass around the arena while generic jock jams blasted through the speakers?  That's when I knew either Hulk Hogan or Donald Trump or the guy who invented the Oscar Mayer Weiner Car would eventually be president.  I conditioned myself for this over the years by punctuating various catch phrases with an air guitar.

We have a president who is praising "alternatives to liberal democracy."
But y'all are right, we're just being alarmist.  Move along, nothing to see here.

Because he’s a fucking moron who doesn’t understand the difference between “liberal democracy” and “libruls”.

And his supporters are even dumber.

Of course he is, the countries he idolizes shoot at people at the border....we are next.

I'm banking on the Guy Fieri Administration to pull back from that level of hostility.

I’d take either the monkey or the dog

Oh.

The upside to letting a corporate hog farm channel their piss lagoon into your swimming pool is that your household will no longer need toilets. Just go in the hog shit pool.

But........ did those "alternatives to liberal democracies" delete emails? Did they?

I thought Trump was 6'3" or so.  Has he lied about his height as well?

Trump never lies. He just “jokes.”

Oh I said I was 6’3”.  Just joking.

I said I weighed 239 pounds? Just joking.

I said I was never going to crap all over the constitution and declare myself emporer of America? Just joking.

I’ve been saying Trump most resembles Mussolini as far as dictators go, this article is a good read that highlights the similarities.

Mussolini was willing to put in the work.

Trump just wants to tweet from the shitter.

I think the worst part of all this is his stupid smirk when he gets found out, like it's super funny and no big deal.

Mussolini was eventually removed from power and jailed until his good buddy Hitler rescued him.

After a brief stint as Hitler’s puppet, he went on to get captured and executed for treason before being put on display in Rome.

Funny guy that Mussolini.

He started out gas lighting and ended up gas stationed.

Today's young are waaaaaaay more left than ever before but the ones that are conservative are also more wildly conservative than anything I've seen. This is just my personal experience as a young guy. I would be interested to see polarization compared with age groups.

Every one of those fuckers’ first priority in Congress is to win re-election.  If Trump is going to hurt their chances, they will turn on him.

My observations have been that young rural whites are just as deplorable as their maw maws and paw paws.   Turds don't fall far from the ass.

It really is an urban vs rural thing going on.   Hard to even be a small businessman or teacher in rural Texas if you dare espouse anything other than "Trump Rules!"

So he’s the fraud we always knew he was.

The numbers show that in 1985, Mr. Trump reported losses of $46.1 million from his core businesses — largely casinos, hotels and retail space in apartment buildings. They continued to lose money every year, totaling $1.17 billion in losses for the decade.

In fact, year after year, Mr. Trump appears to have lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer, The Times found when it compared his results with detailed information the I.R.S. compiles on an annual sampling of high-income earners. His core business losses in 1990 and 1991 — more than $250 million each year — were more than double those of the nearest taxpayers in the I.R.S. information for those years.

Over all, Mr. Trump lost so much money that he was able to avoid paying income taxes for eight of the 10 years. It is not known whether the I.R.S. later required changes after audits.

America wanted to elect "a businessman" as president.

So....they elected the American businessman who lost more than any other businessman.

The Donald J. Trump secret for how to make a small fortune: start with a large one.

Seems about right for these times.

And then parlay your losses into a veneer of success by slapping your name on the facade of successful properties built by others. He's the ultimate Con Don.

And all the fucking idiots who voted for this con specifically for his "business acumen" will find a way to ignore this, because god forbid they had to admit to themselves that they were so stupid that they got duped by someone this stupid.  And Fox News will help them do it.

That's the scariest thing in all of this to me.  Trump will be gone someday relatively soon, one way or another.  But Fox News won't.  The conditions that allowed this train wreck to happen will persist for some time.

couple goofballs, but what that guy was saying wasn't wrong.

like any "wealthy" person, he shielded as much as possible from taxes.  but to say he minimized it purely for tax reasons is a little silly, considering he also minimized it by losing 1.2bb over 10 years.  that'll help keep your taxes under control.

but he also mentioned his narrative during the election of boasting about how rich and successful he was, and what a great deal-maker he was.  shocking revelation there - we already knew he somehow lost money running casinos.

if trump had the option of admitting all his financial failures/truths and winning the election, or keeping his great success lie going and losing the election, he'd have to think about it.  he's that vain.

Trump is a con but IRS income is different real income. He could’ve been depreciating all of his real estate for tax deductions even though in the real world it was appreciating.

There’s no way there’s rampant tax fraud either

the cnn interviews basically laid out a snapshot of him losing a lot of "other people's money" as well.  borrowing and losing and defaulting then borrowing again (sometimes from the same place), etc.  i'm sure the irs could have a field day going all forensic on his maneuvering to keep his "own money" safe.

his whole history of "just not paying" is so oddly familiar to me, since i've experienced someone with a similar disorder.  looks like he's been pulling that shit for 40 years.

Had a dumbshit aggy Trumpkin (redundancy alert) at the pub tonight bitching about the stock market tanking. He made it aware he "wasn't thrilled" by the impact of Trump's ratcheting up the tariffs/trade war with China, but added "in the long run, it's probably the right thing to do. Trump KNOWS how to run a business."

BTW, said aggy is such a financial genius he's paying PMI on his home he bought 3 years ago at 52 years of age.
