I would chalk a good measure of that nonsense up to the fact that it's an online poll with participants recruited primarily through text and banner ads.

Yeah, I mean, I thought I was just clicking on a window to buy cheap boner pills. I mean, my friend was.  That's what he told me.

Makes sense.  I saw a documentary once that showed that Gene Simmons is a master of high-tech weapons development.

Damn I loved that movie as a kid. It had everything...Magnum PI, killer robots, Gene Simmons as an underrated diabolical villain. And, uh, ...

Here we go, parroting the same mis-quotations and lies over and over. You only hear what you want him to say, and when he doesn't say it, you claim "dog-whistle" or just misquote him.

Here's the real quote. Yes illegals crossing the border are rapists. There's an insane number of rapes with the coyotes.

"muslim ban" was never a muslim ban.

Charlottsville? You saying Trump started that Dickie Spencer vs. antifa riot?

"Family separation policy", the same one Obama had in the rule books but just didn't enforce?

You have to separate children away from people who cross the boarder, because of human trafficking. You have to figure out who they are, and if they are using the kid to try to get across. Pretty simple stuff. If you don't want to be separated from your child, don't be irresponsible and bring them on a dangerous journey across the border illegally.

Key word, illegal immigrant. Here's the statistics in Texas:

https://www.dps.texas.gov/administration/crime_records/pages/txCriminalAlienStatistics.htm

News media: "TRUMP FACES BACKLASH FOR CALLING MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS ____________" they cut the part of the speech where he is talking about illegals, then say he was talking about "Mexican immigrants". He's said plenty of times coming in legally is fine, he wants legal immigration.

I know you hate this fact, but entering under asylum claims IS legal. We are obligated to honor those asylum claims by international treaty

Right, those aren't illegal immigrants, and very unlikely to be the ones who are committing crimes.

Those that cross illegally, then when caught repeat the fake asylum claim they've been taught, clog up the system for real asylum claims. Then many of them do not leave after their asylum claim cannot be approved.

Also, when you claim asylum, you have to claim it in the first country you arrive in when fleeing your own country. Instead, they are gathering in caravans and paying people to transport them from Central America to the US.

Statistics from leftie politifact:

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2018/jun/21/donald-trump/1700-percent-increase-asylum-claims/

Quote

The Homeland Security Department tracks cases in which a decision to grant a hearing has been made, which differs only slightly from the number of all claims made.

In 2007, 5,171 people claimed credible fear and had their cases reviewed.

In 2016, it was 91,786.

That represents a 1,675 percent hike, basically as Trump claimed.

Between 60 and 80 percent of those cases were approved for further court review. Overall, 20 percent of applicants were ultimately granted asylum in fiscal year 2017, the Homeland Security Department told us.

In all, instead of taking a small amount of people from these countries, I think we should be helping Latin America rid itself of the corruption. They have great people and great resources, but the organized crime too easily buys off law enforcement and politicians. Ending the drug trade into the US from these countries could be a good start.

Yeah farmers!  Your country needs you now!  It's time for you to make patriotic sacrifices for the good of the nation!

Sounds like something from the Stalin era.

Quote

President Donald Trump and his allies are appealing to nationalism in the trade war with China, calling on Americans to make “patriotic” sacrifices in language reminiscent of national crises and even wars.

Under the “Make America Great Again” banner, Trump has sought to make patriotism cool again — and as he extends his showdown with Beijing, he is targeting the message to the farmers who bear much of the burden of Chinese tariffs.

Quote

“Our great Patriot Farmers,” the president wrote in a series of tweets on Tuesday, “will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of what is happening now.” Trump’s claim followed China’s announcement that it plans to retaliate against his latest tariffs with increased duties on $60 billion in U.S. goods, in an escalating showdown with no end in sight.

Quote

Trump has often made political appeals to patriotism, as when he urged NFL executives to ban player protests during the national anthem. But the China trade is the first case where he has called for Americans — in this case farmers and other workers, including “ranchers and industrial workers” hit by tariffs — to sacrifice in the name of a long-term greater national good.

Quote

“Farmers are patriotic and understand that someone had to finally call China to account,” Tim Murtaugh, communications director for Trump’s 2020 campaign, said in a statement, adding that farmers “understand the long game, because long-term planning is what they do.”

Quote

Trump critics also say it’s immensely hypocritical for him to be calling on American farmers to make sacrifices when he allegedly fabricated an injury to avoid serving in Vietnam. “There’s a gap here between the message and the messenger,” said Lichtman.

Trump “is right that farmers are patriots,” said Dale Moore, executive vice president at the American Farm Bureau Federation.

“But it’s hard for farmers to take patriotism to their banker to ask for a loan,” he added.

you have to claim it in the first safe country. and that's an official designation, not "zavala thinks this is safer than the shit you left so you have to apply there."  as of the middle of 2018, looks like mexico did not have safe third country status with the US.  no idea if that's changed or not.

i've gotten to where i tune out polls.  the hard ceiling and hard floor have become so clear that i don't care where he is between them at any given point.

I'd like to see what previous 2-term POTUS polling #'s were like at this point in their first term.
