Donald Trump 2019

Francisco 2.0

Some presidents get a good situation handed to them and they reap the benefits.  See Bill Clinton and Dotus.
Carter got served a shit sandwich, economically and came off as thoughtful, deliberate, and dare I say, wimpy.
In a way his election was rejection of the Nixon era of which Ford was a part, so there was never really any overwhelming mandate for any of his policies.
Huge contrast with Reagan who America embraced kind of like George's mother embraced Lloyd Braun.

Sounds a little like unchecked investment and banking executives getting to craft ever deeper vehicles/derivatives for the RE market, crashing down right as Obama inherited the job. ‘Let the people/market decide...deregulate’ is now fucking up our leadership in the climate/energy sectors.

We’re in an ideological civil war now.   We no longer have shared values.

because some shitcunts wanted tax cuts and judges.

Because shitcunts’ disproportionate control is threatened by becoming a voting minority in the immediate future.

which poll is he even talking about?

i'm pretty sure i heard 54% earlier today, in the context of: "~68% of americans say the economy is strong, and of those people, 54% approve of the job trump is doing."  and the only reason i heard it, is because when the numbers were similar for bush and obama, that number was closer to 75-80% approval.  if he's using that number, that's hilarious (and fitting) because it was only talked about because of how historically low it is.

(i can't remember if the 68% number is accurate, i wasn't really paying attn, but i remember 54%)

It was the report from his annual physical citing is current and projected body fat percentage.

Any of you Trumpkins want to comment on the abject stupidity of this response?

“Haha, I love how stupid he is makes liberals mad!  Every time he humiliates himself and the Republican Party and sells this country down the river, well, that just shows that we’re winning.”

I'd love to know the results when you just ask college graduates.

I bet it's even more depressing.

But I bet immigrants who became citizens know a majority of the answers.

Both siders like Anastasis should be screaming from the high heavens about this...

I've stated numerous times that we should take necessary steps to harden our elections systems.  Those posts are not as effective at triggering a bunch of posters, so they don't soak up as much bandwidth.

Which side of the fence is this bandwidth you speak of?

Trump joking around with Putin telling him not to interfere in our elections with a smirk on his face and clearly meaning the opposite is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen a president do. And with trump that bar is set pretty low already.

Surly trolls. Come forth and defend dear leader!  We need to hear from you!

“With a hammer instead of a velvet glove.”

Is that an expression?

I think that was the option that DeNiro's Ace Rothstein gave the two blackjack cheaters in "Casino"

• Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said in November 2017 that Trump was “like an 11-year-old child,” according to Vanity Fair. He also said that Trump had “lost his step.” Bannon had left the White House in August 2017.

• Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in July 2017 called Trump a “moron,” NBC News reported. The comments came after Tillerson had a meeting at the Pentagon with members of the White House national security team and Cabinet officials.

Was it Tillerson that said trump has the mindset of a 12 yo ?

Not sure if I ever mentioned this story before but my buddy’s son-in-law is some sort of ace fighter pilot and Trump visited his base and they asked his squadron or whatever to come in and talk with him. Before Trump came in, one of his handlers told them:

1) make sure the height on your seat is set low, Trump won’t be happy if he sees someone sitting taller than him.

2) “speak to him as if you are talking to a 9 year old.”

thats an exact quote.

he said trump spent the first part of their meeting asking if females were as good as the male pilots. Don’t remember the rest, but the guy apparently came away appalled such a fucking idiot was our President.
