Donald Trump 2019

Francisco 2.0

I was listening to Pod Save yesterday and they did some campaign polling in WI.  Apparently, that's different from media polling

They found that Trump still sits at nearly 48% favorability in the state.

However, these people had no idea about him trying to cut ACA or the tax breaks for the rich or that he was accused of sexual assault by 12 women among other things

Most White Supremacists are self centered assholes that use their white identity as a pretext to dominate “inferiors” which is really everyone who is not them.

Trump is absolutely a White Supremacist and it’s a symptom of his personality disorder.  It’s the same case with him being a traitor.  His NPD is the driving force behind the majority of his malfeasance and treachery.

Look!  Diversion of the minute!

On a day in which a prison guard ran over Jewish protestors at an ICE facility, while coordinating with other guards who also used pepper spray, we're discussing a months-old tweet from Omar with anti-Semitic tropes, for which she apologized months ago.

It doesn't matter what's in his heart.  No one can know that.  He's using his position to promote white supremacy and white supremacists.  That makes him a white supremacist.

I've seen this notion, from Mooch and others, that Trump isn't a racist, because he sees all people as objects and only cares about what they can do for him.   But seeing people as objects isn't inconsistent with racism.   We discriminate between objects and categories of objects all the time.  For example, I think Gibson guitars are generally superior to Epiphone guitars.  Trump can see white and black and latinx people as objects while still thinking that white people are generally superior to people of other races.

It's amazing. Only on the Cheeto timeline would the media/nation be talking about buying Greenland, as opposed to child-rape rings, impeachment, white supremacist violence, imprisoning children in cages, Saudi Arabia murdering a WaPo journalist, etc. It all just falls by the wayside when he throws new shit on the wall.

Since the Mueller Report dropped I’ve been saying and I will keep saying:  “99.9% of everything coming out this White House is pure BULLSHIT.”

The Mueller Report is a document that essentially says the United States does not have a president.   Time after time in Volume 2 you have his subordinates just ignoring Trump’s orders because they were so obviously illegal.  These people around him were not fired for insubordination either.  No, many of them were begged to stay on to keep protecting a fake president with no real authority.

And the worst part is the whole world now knows America does not have a president.

But the media doesn’t talk about this glaring reality.  Why?  Because it’s not in their interest.  They’ll just play along with the perpetual outrage machine that is Trump because it gets the clicks and distracts from the subjects that would really make people uncomfortable.

Yes, Greenland, the Mooch, Omarosa, Epstein conspiracies, yield curves, and polling numbers will be on the collective minds of Americans.  It has been decided.

Arena people.

Do you think when the local venue folks are watching the large stadium being built, they look on and say, 'Great...Arena People' and roll their eyes?

Case in point: one of his supporters who parroted his hate speech murdered 22 people in El Paso just two weeks ago. Then Trump staged a photo op with an orphaned baby.

And it's already been forgotten. Somewhere I posted that it would be replaced in our national consciousness by other outrageous things Trump would say or tweet or do by this weekend. I'm not sure if that was here or on another board. But that's his strategy. Just keep spouting so much shit that it's impossible to cover it all. There will always be a new distraction right around the corner.

Trump believes the media is a danger to the “people” because they underrate the attendance at Trump rallies.  That should tell you everything you need to know about who Trump considers “people.”  Hint: it’s just him.  He truly does not understand or even suspect that other people exist.  He’s an unwitting solipsist.

Scaramucci thinks Trump will drop out of the race in March, 2020:

President William Weld, anybody?

Alternatively...and I’m going out on a limb here.....Mooch is a moron.
Trump will never quit. And he won’t accept any electoral defeat. Ever. The only way he could lose is because the dems cheated, just ask him. There are only two possible outcomes: he wins, or he loses and refuses to accept the results, and does something to declare a state of emergency or whatnot, and stay in.
There’s actually a chance (tiny, but the point is that it’s non-zero) that we’re going to have an armed conflict at the White House in January 2021.

Didn't Scaramucci's political career amount to 11 short days in the Trump White House? He wasn't qualified for that job and briefly holding that job doesn't qualify him as a political analyst now. He's just another grifter.

I know that we all know this, but it can't be said enough. This sociopath had someone bring the orphaned baby back to the hospital for a photo opp. The same baby who was orphaned in no small part due to the inflammatory, racist, hate-mongering rhetoric of the US President.

This is the truth and more people are starting to realize it, at least on here. There is ZERO chance Trump leaves the White House willingly. He's Individual 1, an un-indicted co-conspirator in felony campaign finance violations. Trump wasn't charged, solely because he is President and cannot be charged. A new Justice Department can reopen that investigation and he's in prison with Cohen. He wasn't charged for Obstruction of Justice, solely because he is President. If he isn't President anymore, that's 13 felony charges to hit him with, 9 of which are a slam dunk. A special prosecutor that actually digs broadly and doesn't conduct a ridiculously narrow investigation will find countless other felonies to charge him with. Even if the new President decides to turn the other cheek and Trump isn't charged federally, the state of New York is waiting until he is out to put his shit on blast.

He faces the same dilemma every wannabe dictator faces, before they become an actual dictator. Trump can't ever leave office, or he will be criminally charged. He's going to cheat like the serial adulterer, liar, conman and felon that he is. Putin faces the same dilemma and cannot allow a Democrat in office, or international pressure on him will go through the roof. Putin is going to cheat like the murderer, liar, conman and felon that he is.

We need to do everything in our power to make sure the voice against Trump is utterly overwhelming, so when he refuses to step down, which he will, people are pissed enough to take to the streets.

Russian hacking skills are 4 years more advanced than the last Presidential election. Like triple posted in another thread, there are also other govts. that also have the ability to hack into voting systems without being detected. It's not unreasonable to think that the Russians would take advantage of those resources as well.

And we haven't addressed Russian hacking in '16 to any reasonable degree. This is what a foundering country looks like.

I’m sure that trump will pardon his entire family and himself before leaving. Now whether or not that will hold up in court is something else.

While this is all true at the end of the day trump is a coward, not a fighter.

Unless the economy tanks (it may), I think this is going to be a dogfight and looking at how easily the D candidate will win is only doing a disservice to whoever that candidate ends up being.

He can't pardon himself and his family for state charges and New York is waiting to light them up. The Trump foundation, state tax and insurance fraud are all riddled with felonies and still on the table as state charges.

I completely agree with that, but he doesn't have a choice. If/when he leaves office he goes to prison. The coward or the strongman makes the same choice.

Meh.  If you don’t work 40, can’t get OT.  Skip a shift and you’re not at 40.  I get it.
I like the fact that they refer to that fat fuck as “Trump” and not the “President”

I’m talking about the rest of it, not the OT. They have to stand for hours thru lunch but get no lunch. This is management that doesn’t give a shit about their employees, of course we already know that because they held a Trump rally.

The president is ramping up tension for confrontations in Portland.  For political purposes.  There's no floor.

People think of Portland as an ultra liberal hub, and it is, but this is a different stage than what we've seen on the east coast.  The potential for more intense violence than what we saw in Charlottesville is great.  There are way more rural crazies in Washington and Oregon that will be filing into Portland.  And by "rural crazies," I mean, you know, "arena people."

A guy drove a car into a group of citizens and committed murder on live television already and the president is stoking the flames between the exact same groups of people.  Somehow I still get surprised at what a giant pile of shit this president can be.

Also, Idaho...

The arrival of white supremacist Richard Butler in the 1970s opened a dark chapter of North Idaho history. Amid the intimidation and overt racism his Aryan Nations exercised, Coeur d’Alene human rights leaders founded a task force that became a model for community response to racism. It’s a model that remains relevant as signs of hate creep back into the region today.

Four years after moving to rural Kootenai County from California in 1973, Butler, a former aeronautical engineer, started a compound on Rimrock Road. The 20-acre site north of Hayden Lake would become a racist encampment perhaps like no other in the nation.

Butler used savings to build the Church of Jesus Christ Christian at the compound. An adjoining shop printed racist and anti-Semitic pamphlets, books and fliers. The group held parades in downtown Coeur d’Alene and annual summits at the compound. By the 1990s, the Aryan Nations had one of the first hate Web sites.

Butler faced rivalry from other racists, and his compound was bombed in 1981. That same year, anti-Semitic grafitti targeting a Jewish restaurant owner attracted the attention of human rights activists, and the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations was born. Founders Tony Stewart, Norm Gissel and Marshall Mend became community voices against hate.

The Aryan Nations compound and its contents were burned and bulldozed into a peace park after a lawsuit brought by the Southern Poverty Law Center bankrupted the group in 2000. Butler died four years later.

On Sept. 7, 2010, community leaders marked the 10-year anniversary of the verdict that bankrupted the Aryan Nations. Nonetheless, hate crimesracist vandalismracist fliers and a power struggle between men claiming to lead a rejuvenated Aryan Nations recently have cropped in the region, affirming that the fight against hate is not finished.

On Jan. 22, 2011, a leader of the Aryan Nations issued a statement denying involvement with a bomb left at Spokane’s Martin Luther King Jr. Unity March. Morris Gullett, a longtime racist identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as the leader of the Aryan Nations, said, “We absolutely do not condone this type of activity, but emphatically do condemn the use of force and terror such as the sort that is being implied was committed by white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the Aryan Nations, in Spokane.”

yes, that is what will happen, but he will have the full support of the entire Republican Party, and no one will do a goddamn thing about it other than handwringing. just like with the dozens of other acts of gross incompetence, commission of felonies, constitutional violations, and outright treason committed by Trump and his family and administration.   he’s not going anywhere.
