Anyone taking bets on whether or not the new advisor will be a current or former Fox News employee?

Whoever it is they’ll be in their 20’s with zero experience. Or, it could be Don, Jr. he needs experience because he’ll be a future president. Isn’t that the long term plan?

Normally I'd say Tom Cotton, but he's as pro war as Bolton.

He's shamelessly whoring himself out to Trump right now with him arguing that buying Greenland is a great idea.  Also opens the door for Huckabee Sanders to run for Senate in Arky.  (Don't think I'm kidding.)

As to Cotton's foreign policy, he fancies himself some new type of conservative that is against foreign intervention.  He wrote some book or something and was interviewed by the WSJ.  He basically argued that all intervention is bad except when done by Republican presidents.  (He was a big fan of Bush's wars.)  WSJ correctly figured out that he was hack and it's not like they're a tool of the left.

This suggests that Bolton had dignity when he joined teh administration.

He was at about 5 percent dignity level when he started. Being in the trump administration, however, drained him to zero.

In contrast John kelly started with about 85 percent dignity level, good enough to utilize a gold sword and cast a bunch of spells, but sadly he too has now been drained to zero.

Not everone reaches zero dignity under trump, but most do.

I mean, I can see it.  I'm sure McConnell would prefer not to have to defend another seat, even if it's a safe one.

No way a Democrat could win statewide in Arky right now.  Big risk is that they nominate some Roy Moore batshit type that embarrasses the national party.

I predict that Huckabee will carry on the family tradition of mixing politics and grift and run for either that open seat or Arky gov.

No one survives this administration with their dignity intact.

The odd thing is that so few seem willing to go against Trump, even as he tries to destroy their reputation.

Oh wait, he likes to hire passive Yes Men.

Bolton might actually take a few swings though, he's clearly not happy.

When he's out of office they will suddenly find their balls and begin to say how they were always skeptical of Trump & his antics, how they were busy behind the scenes trying to push Trump down a saner, more diplomatic path. Any personal failings will be blamed on Obama/Hillary/liberals.

I agree it’s safe GOP,  but it will have to be defended in an already rough year for the GOP. If the Dems can find a self funder or a savvy small donor candidate,  it becomes a real money and time suck.

Geez, these dumbasses can never just say "I don't know". This guy is spox...

"Harris: will we hear directly from the POTUS as he has gotten rid of his NSA today?

Hogan: well you heard from him directly on Twitter, uh, and that's as far as I am um prepared to say he is going to talk today."

It actually never made any sense that Bolton was hired. Bolton wants to use the military to end all disputes which is actually the opposite of what Trump wants.

Trump doesn't want anything beyond lining his pockets and people who will stroke his ego tiny penis.  He doesn't actually care his "advisors" believe.

Why buy Greenland when we can just invade it?  I mean, we must protect the western hemisphere from dutch socialism.  If Greenland is allowed to remain dutch, then what's next?  Texas flips blue?

I wonder how his talk at the Renaissance is going this afternoon?

"Well, I am happy to be here to talk about HBCUs. I had a busy morning today. I fired people, my polls are great, the economy is ticking along. We're going to defeat ISIS, I was right about Alabama. Well, nice being here to talk about HBCUs. They love me on campuses, just love me. Well, bye!"
