I'm sure Trump thinks he is a great extemporaneous speaker, possibly the greatest of all time. But this one, like the toilet flushing thing, and like so many others, is just him taking a simple point or concept and then just rambling about nonsense to fill time.

When he tries to explain something, it's like someone trying to paint a watercolor with nothing but the brush and a bowl of water.

Melania Trump obtained US citizenship on a visa reserved for immigrants with "extraordinary ability" and "sustained national and international acclaim", according to a report in the Washington Post.

Nicknamed the "Einstein Visa", the EB-1 is in theory reserved for people who are highly acclaimed in their field - the government cites Pulitzer, Oscar, and Olympic winners as examples - as well as respected academic researchers and multinational executives.

Mrs Trump began applying for the visa in 2000, when she was Melania Knauss, a Slovenian model working in New York and dating Donald Trump. She was approved in 2001, one of just five people from Slovenia to win the coveted visa that year, according to the Post.

On April 26, 2010, Ortiz was arrested for felony domestic violence against then-girlfriend Jenna Jameson at their Huntington Beach, California, home.[85] Jameson was photographed afterward that day with a bandaged arm,[86] amid accusations by both parties against each other, with Ortiz accusing Jameson of being erratic and addicted to OxyContin, while she alleged that he was abusive. Both later recanted the allegations.[87]

Ortiz was arrested on DUI charges in Los Angeles on January 6, 2014.[88][89][90] He was sentenced to three years probation, an undisclosed fine, and an obligation to enroll in an alcohol educationprogram.[91]

It is just like the essays I have to read from my high school students. "'A Tale of Two Cities' takes place in two different cities. Most books only happen in one city, but this one is different because it takes place in two. You would think it would be a really long book, because it takes place in two different cities, but actually it's as long as a normal book. I guess it's the best of times because the book isn't twice as long as a normal book. But it's the worst of times, because it's kind of hard to understand."

Be cool to that kid. He’s got upper management written all over him. He may be president one day.

The President has only one event listed today. He and the First Lady will be attending a Children's Reception in the Blue Room. It is unknown if they will be celebrating with the children for the holidays, eating the children (it's a lunchtime), or caging the children. I don't care, do you?

Also, King Trump is apparently pushing his reign for twelve years as well as insulting the audience when he spoke at the Israeli American dinner last evening. He did this before at a conference in Atlanta employing his strategy of 'I'm a racist misogynist and you're going to vote for me anyway because you have to..'

It's been said many times before, but a good ass kicking goes a long way.

And I don't mean that metaphorically, I mean a physical beat down or at least a good smacking around.

Those are the times you really do some honest evaluation of your choices.

Trump has never been checked in his life.

Now having said that, most people don't need their ass kicked to figure out they're a pathological lying asshole, but for this one that's exactly what we need.

IIRC, his father was a front man for the mob so possibly Donald was able to avoid getting clocked by using the threat of payback by one of their capos. I could easily see him as acting subservient around the true tough guys, and bullying everyone else because he know he had muscle to back him up. It is difficult to imagine him as ever being a likeable person. Ever. Seems Fred Jr, the oldest sibling who died young (of alcoholism) may have been the smart one since he left the real estate business and became a pilot. Smart to get away from that dysfunction but alas it seemed to have followed him.

Also, at the Republican (Florida) dinner at Turnberry prior to his Israeli-American speech, he raised $3.5 million. The press were not allowed and *secrecy was high, so I don't have any transcripts of his speech there, but according to this article, he was in 'rare form':

  Quote

He also pulled an unusual move, bringing on stage Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance and Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, who Trump pardoned last month for cases involving war crimes. Lorance was serving a 19-year sentence for ordering his soldiers shoot at unarmed men in Afghanistan, and Golsteyn was to stand trial for the 2010 extrajudicial killing of a suspected bomb maker.

The president spoke for over an hour, doing impressions of Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and joking about the slim physique of Ohio congressman — and former wrestler — Jim Jordan, who was in attendance. He also introduced his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, and North Florida Congressman Mike Waltz.

Notice that his new favorite 'son', Jim Jordan, was present. Sorry, Lindsey, all that puckering up is for nought as you've been replaced by someone who knows how to look the other way...

as well as the war criminals who tell everyone else to look the other way so as not to witness their perfidy.

Grifting.  Who in this administration doesn't do it?

A top Trump health appointee sought to have taxpayers reimburse her for the costs of jewelry, clothing and other possessions, including a $5,900 Ivanka Trump-brand pendant, that were stolen while in her luggage during a work-related trip, according to documents obtained by POLITICO.

Seema Verma, who runs the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, filed a $47,000 claim for lost property on Aug. 20, 2018, after her bags were stolen while she was giving a speech in San Francisco the prior month. The property was not insured, Verma wrote in her filing to the Health and Human Services department.

  Quote

The federal health department ultimately reimbursed Verma $2,852.40 for her claim, a CMS spokesperson said.

Verma’s claim included $43,065 for about two dozen pieces of jewelry, based off an appraisal she'd received from a jeweler about three weeks after the theft. Among Verma's stolen jewelry was an Ivanka Trump-brand pendant, made of gold, prasiolite and diamonds, that Verma’s jeweler valued at $5,900.

Verma’s claim also included about $2,000 to cover the cost of her stolen clothes and another $2,000 to cover the cost of other stolen goods, including a $325 claim for moisturizer and a $349 claim for noise-cancelling headphones.

A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services, which includes CMS, said the department has a longstanding policy of paying for certain goods when they are lost during a work trip, so long as they “are not inherently for other uses,” which is why Verma was partially reimbursed.

Horseshit! Her stuff is sold in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and shit. Grifters everywhere man.

Seriously, did they go jerk each other off last time they met or exchange brussel sprouts recipes.

The didn't have the exact same experience but African Americans also weren't separated from all of their belongings overnight and asked to vacate their shops, homes and the country as a matter of newly found law targeting just them. I've spent time with fabric and 'smocking' is serious business and more than a little tricky. I'm pretty sure Nancy Pelosi doesn't need a 'smocking' gun [sic] to sew up a case against the President.

Not normal. but his supporters will celebrate, too. "Losers!" Never occurs to them that in order to stand up to China and Russia, our country will need all the allies we can muster. Unless of course we wish to be a fascist totalitarian regime like China and Russia. Or maybe it has occurred to them and they are the percentage that are okay with that.
