FFS, just where's the best place to buy a nice kitchen table w/o getting gouged in price?

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/departments/dining/21825/

and either swing by home depot for a day laborer or:

Fair enough. I had the perception that Ikea stuff was shoddy, but will check them out.
A lot of it is but they have some good stuff for the price, would be worth at least a browse on the website. We had a lot of Ikea when we were poor and newly married. We've replace most of it but still have our entertainment center which I still really like.

I think the big gabbert's on 635 E of Midway is going out of business, so nice shit should be on sale.

Weirs outlet probably has nice stuff too.

I still don’t understand how Gabberts is allowed to advertise a going out of business sale for 25 years.

Facebook Marketplace, if you Facebook. Craigslist for furniture is not too risky. Consignment places. You can refinish stuff pretty easy and there are a bajillion blogs and YouTube videos on how to do it.

Don't buy new and cheap. That crap won't last five years and for sure won't last more than one move.  Eat on a fold out table until you can find something decent.

This might blow your mind.... but there's this thing called Craigslist. It's pretty new I think, only been around for like, 20 years maybe? I've heard you can buy things there for really good prices and even haggle the price down. There might be a limited selection though, Dallas Craigslist probably only has like 8 billion kitchen tables listed.
