Looks like the Houston clubs are getting rid of time charges and moving to a daily club access fee model ranging from $40-$60. Good deal for grinders, not so good for short stack, hit and run players.

For you, Bob, yes! I’m digging Poker Atlas they have at APP now. Much better way of paying for time. Would hate to have to settle up after getting stacked.

Shuffle 512 has gotten a 5/10 gaming going the last two Friday’s, btw.

If you buy the belief that it takes 1000 hours of NLHE to have enough data to determine win rate w confidence, I’d have to believe w Big O variance combined with lower hands/hr, you’d need maybe 2-3k hours. Which, is enough of that insane game to give a man a heart attack. So, maybe?

Haven't been to APP in about a month.  What are you talking about with Poker Atlas?  Changed the way to pay for time?

You get a plastic players card and add time to that. The tables now have a tablet and scanner for the dealers. They scan your card, your picture pops up and shows how much time you have left.

When you’re getting close running out of time, your seat turns yellow, red, etc on the screen and you just add more time then.

They had a deal going when I went that they would match your time bought the first time you load it up.

yeah, poker atlas is pretty cool but has some annoyances, like wanting your location at all times even when off.

chitwood it lets you see what tables are running and sign up for the wait list from the app on your phone. Search for poker atlas in the store and install it.

The app I sell uses location services to tell the club (golf/country, not poker) when their members drive into their parking lot so their staff can get a heads up notification with the members picture/preferences, allowing even their newest staffers to greet the member by name and strike up a conversation. Pretty slick. Poker Atlas is probably doing something similar, telling their clubs anytime you get near for stats and personalization.

yes. when you sign up for a wait list and drive there it lets the club know when you are pulling up.
But there's no reason for it to track my movements the other 160 hours of the week.

Played a short session tonight as I needed to go to lowes and heb. Sat down around 7:15 and left at 9:30 up $1066. Only played about 5 hands past the flop and won at least half of every one. Two times I got nut/nut and potted the whole way down and got called and scooped, with both people having second nut/second nut.

Are you going to Vegas for WSOP? Ride that hot streak!

I'm livid that for the first time in a couple of years there's no big o tournament.

If there was I would go for sure. Depending on my job situation I may try to get out there for a plo tournament.

Prime was doing this same thing just a month or so ago.

I’ve not been playing the last few months as I try to earn an honest living again. Decided to take a stab at a $260 satellite into a $1100 CPPT main event for tomorrow. Surprisingly, only 23 entries, resulting in 4 seats and $660 to 5th place. Despite having one of the shortest stacks the entire final table, I earned my seat!

I’ll update here tomorrow as warranted. Cards in the air at noon eastern

140 runners in flight 1A. 80 registered so far for 1B. Should be in the 300-350 range total, for a cool $300k+ prize pool

MP mid raises, BTN calls, SB makes it 2100 and has 6k behind. I’ve got QQ in BB and make it 8100. MP and BTN fold and SB snaps w AA. Board doesn’t help.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Raised to 3100 w QQ in BB and got two callers. Took it down on flop. Also called a bluffer down w AK and took a nice pot Ace-high.
