Actually surprising you didn't hear his name mentioned as ESPN has him as their #1 recruit for 2020 and went on and on... and on... and on.... about how incredible he is at one point running clips of Eric Dickerson comparisons...

It was clear after watching this years game vs last years games how much of a difference maker Shadrach Banks makes. I don't think Katy would have won the game if he played.

This. They talked about him constantly. Even when he was on the bench. I get it if he was the only star on either team. But he’s not. Both teams are loaded with D1 prospects.

Texarkana pleasant grove getting some 4a love pre-season.

Edit: we also got a nice contract with Nike this year as well. Same deal Allen has as I understand which seems odd.

Nice win tonight against #7 Paris.

Denison defeated Sherman 29-13 in the 121st Battle of the Ax. The Jackets retain the Ax for the seventh consecutive year. 2022 Longhorn offer Jadarian Price rushed for 111 yards and a td on 11 carries before leaving the game with a left ankle sprain shortly before halftime.

Westlake put the beatdown on Belton

My alma mater Arlington Martin beats  Lake Travis 35-14

Both my school and my kids school get to beat LT this year!

... and they should.  This might be the suckiest LT team since the big runs with GG (squints) in the early 00's.  Listened to the game, the defense is completely lost and the offense seems to go nowhere when Card is blitzed (that is, rushed, not drunk).

Man that was a fucking beatdown.  If not for a really stupid throw by the Martin QB to close out the first half (allowing an LT player to intercept and run down to the 30 and score quickly), it would have been worse.  Martin totally dominated that game in every aspect.

Jaxon Smith 12-269, 3 TD

Quote

Highland Park, carried by quarterback and reigning SportsDayHS Offensive Player of the Year Chandler Morris, climbed out of an early 17-point hole to escape Rockwall with a 66-59 win at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium and extend its unbeaten streak to 32 games. Morris finished the night with 474 yards through the air on 27-of-43 passing and added 180 more on the ground, having a hand in all nine of the Scots’ touchdowns.

What are the UIL rules on playing a guy in a JV game and then suiting them up for a Varsity game the next day?  Are you allowed to play a guy in two different games the same week?

I don’t think they are allowed to play.

Reason I say this is they had my Soph step son play JV QB this week and also suit up last night for varsity. We blew varsity out and coach played everyone on team except step son and told him he would love to put him in to mop up 4th Qtr but he played the night before.

Follow up on my earlier post: there were 22 penalties in the game.
