Run big man run.

came to this thread fully expecting to see this clip. Poona's hustle is legendary. Can you imagine that man running you down lmfao.

side note..... Seattle's D is looking healthy and actually very good and sound across the board finally. If the O can pull it's head out of it's ass over the next couple weeks they might do a thing or two.

Watching this video made me wonder what the longest down field tackle has been made by an interior lineman? This guy probably never thought he would be hit from behind that far downfield by a 300 plus pounder.

Great hustle and effort by Ford. Nice.

you’re welcome.

Has anyone ever done the momentum calculations on this? When he hit top speed here this may have been the greatest momentum ever achieved in sports history. Still remember watching it live.

what do you think his top speed was? 20mph?  probably generous but that’s roughly 9 m/s. mass is 320 lbs so 145 kilos...

so p=mv

145x9= 1,305 kgm/s

that’s a lot of momentum.

Great article, thanks for posting. Love me some Poona. Learning about South Carolina’s Gullah-Geechee community was fascinating too.

I've been looking for an excuse to post this so I guess this will do? Hit delivered by an anti-Poona: a 6'11, 340 OL on a DB who really should have seen him coming.

Probably been said in this thread (maybe even by me) but Poona is the case and point that sometimes you just have to wonder WTF NFL front offices are thinking when evaluating prospects.   I can't fathom watching Poona play and college and think he wasn't worthy of a draft pick.  I would have bet a large sum of money when he went undrafted that barring injury he would be on an NFL roster.
