Unless Deboer figures out he needs (he won't) he will be properly fucked.

Nebraska has to go hundreds (if not thousands) of miles for recruits. Alabama could (and has) have a down period, but unlike NU they'll always have access to talent.

Sure, but will they utilize it? On offense, yes. On defense? Probably not. Deboer isn't known for his defensive prowess, he's known for neglecting that side of the ball in hopes to land a QN and WR that can be game changers. I.e. Milroe and Ryan Williams.

Is there some issue with Saban and DeBoer?

It just seems like Nick is laying low, being an advertising star and sliding into full talking head mode.

Man, he has 7 rings. He don't give a fuck about Bama anymore. Once NIL came alone, his "love" for the game and school parted ways.

Also, as a professional coaching courtesy, what good does having the most successful coach in college football history hovering around the program do for DeBoer?

Hovering? No need to hover.

Hell, let's see... Maybe a little advice about how to not lose to Vanderbilt?

Exactly. He has an office there still, but I highly, highly doubt he's ever around. If they think he's going to help them, including Deboer, then they are as stupid as their state's education.

Kalen DeBoer and Alabama have players running to touch "TNT" signs after practice mistakes

Doug Samuels       23 hours ago

There will always be comparisons of Kalen DeBoer and Nick Saban, that simply comes with the territory of following the GOAT.

At 5-2 (and 2-2 in SEC play), with games against Missouri, at LSU and Oklahoma and then the season ending rivalry game against Auburn, DeBoer is in danger of doing something Saban did just twice in his long and storied tenure in Tuscaloosa - losing three or more games in a season.

Saban famously lost six games in year one, and after that lost more than two games in a season just once (2010) over his next 16 years leading the program.

If there has been a criticism of DeBoer's first year (outside of his gameday choice of attire), it's that the signature discipline of Alabama teams under Saban has been missing, especially at critical moments.

To get back on track, all indications are that DeBoer and Alabama are refocusing on the details and trying to eliminate mistakes big and small.

A lot of programs say that with empty words, but Kalen DeBoer and Alabama have a strategy in place to address mistakes in practice.

CJ Dippre shared after a recent practice that "TNT" signs are around the practice facility.

After a mental mistake, or a penalty, players run and touch the sign as a physical reminder of things that "Take No Talent."

Dippre adds that it's a physical way to own the mistake, flush it, and shift the focus to the next play.

While it's unclear from the video exactly how long this practice has been around, it's clear that it's being emphasized after the Tide lost their second game of the season.

There are going to be a lot of coaches around the country that take this idea and implement it as soon as possible. Certainly one of those things that can transcend into other sports.

The Tide will get a chance to get back on track Saturday against Missouri at 3:45 EST on ABC.

Living in Tennessee, with shit tons of Bama tshirt fans, I'm happy to see the Tide flounder. I just don't have the hate for Deboer that I perceive some to have for him. Yes, his team beat ours last year but that isn't enough for me to despise the guy like little Stoops, Heuple or Riley.

OR FUMB, Mensa and Strong.

I think the message is more like don’t sext/harass the bosses daughter.

If she had been a willing rider of the pony, could have been a different story.

Hey, now... you know the story: never up, never in.

Do, or die.

I have a feeling that even if she was a willing participant, that coach may have had the same reaction.

Just sayin’
