This is the argument applied to police, educators and other public offices.  While I agree, the first things cut are salaries for lower public officials.  Some Congressional interns get to pay high DC housing costs for no wage.  Democrats like AOC lobby to pay more to staffers and the party not in favor?

Yeah, that's why I said they should get more money for staff too. Unpaid internships for anything should be illegal.

It's not hard to realize how Crenshaw is full of crap but many of his supporters do not want to learn the facts. They're represented by a war hero and they don't need to see much else.

It doesn't matter. The Kingwood votes will carry Crenshaw again. Litton never had a chance in 2018 and neither does Sima.

Because 2020 is about fucking shit up, or fucking it up further. I think this categorically would fall under "Fixing a mistake" or "writing a wrong."

it'd be a 7 point swing.  i'm not going to say that's likely, but i don't think it's impossible. especially with how the public seems to be turning on republicans generally. though it already swung 9 last time around.

I know Kingwood people. They are voting republican regardless. Hell, I could see most of them voting Kathalene Wall if she was on the ballot.

when she was on the ballot she came in 4th in the kingwood precincts.

I live in Kingwood.  They will vote Trump.    I know yard signs and bumper stickers arent the end all be all for facts but in 2016, it was easily 70-80% pro Trump.    I have yet to see a Biden yard sign.  I see Trump signs all over.

Yep.

Hope is for suckers.  Count on Trumpists staying Trumpist.  Crenshaw is exactly the government they want: short on getting things done/helping the country, long on pointless "owning the LIBTARDS!"  Don't try to sell them on someone who will bring good government without being a piece of shit -- that's literally the opposite of what they want.

Not much supply/demand until he picks his VP.  I will have a Biden sign in my yard regardless and I live in Trump country too.

Same here.  We had two dotard signs down the street pop up around early February.  The week after his Tulsa rally those signs disappeared and there are no new ones replacing them.  My street currently has zero signs and only American flags.

He needs to learn the eye popping details of Northern Democrats like Stephen Douglas in the 1860 election, the Union “winning” the war and not Republicans, and Nixon’s Southern Strategy.

but he knows, it’s just he gets paid very well to appeal to MORANS

You would think an ivy grad wouldn’t be peddling debunked Dinesh D’Souza talking points. Or maybe he thinks so little about the GOP base that votes for him, that he spews this garbage anyways. Just look at the party affiliation of the politicians wanting to preserve confederate statues right now. Yes, Dems have a racist past, but Republicans have a racist present.

Meh, a name's a name.

In my perfect world the Democrats call this stupid bluff, publicly announce they will support the bill and agree to change their name after the already filed current election in exchange for all Confederate statues coming down and base names being changed. The new name of the party? The Patriot Party.

Then blow up the airwaves with ads to educate loyalists for the next year. "Democrats are Patriots. Patriots are Democrats." Use that tagline everywhere for a year.

Who are these two?

That’s Representative Dan Crenshaw from the Second Congressional District of Texas and Ben “DEBATE ME!” Shapiro, Editor Emeritus (lol) of The Daily Wire.

Also known as two goofy ass right wing dorks.

I get more deflated every day over Sima’s campaign. She fucking sucks. Either she’s completely ignoring Facebook and digital or her entire campaign is literally a flat, monotone complaint about Crenshaw and Covid. She’s going to get crushed. I’ve literally PM’d links and articles and said “Heres something else you could attack.” And it’s not just that it’s monotone and boring, it’s also present lazy and infrequently. She may be a great person but in terms of someone who wants to get elected she absolutely fucking suuuuuuuucks.

Progress Texas is going to livestream a meeting with Sima on Facebook and I believe Twitter today at noon CST if you want a better idea of what they’re doing with the campaign. They usually post the whole video once it’s finished and can share here as well.

I’ll look for it after, I have a board of directors meeting today. But id he hard pressed to believe shit until I see actual changes in her campaign. She needs to seriously work to disrupt Crenshaw and gain views and visibility, gain recognition. Goddamn it typing it out is just making me fucking angry. Shes an empty suit at this point.

Without unpaid internships, kids from rich families won't have as clear a path into politics. Think of the children, wildcat!

Yep, "Meddling"...and he would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those darn kids poking around the abandoned amusement park across town.  ZIKES!

Point of oder:  only Scooby Doo I've watched in the last 20 years is a porn parody with the great Bree Olsen.  She definitely takes it in the Zoink.

You know what sucks? I've now seen Crenshaw mention Obama's endorsement of Sima as many times as I've seen Sima reference it herself. If it was any other year I'd be cheering for her failure because she fucking sucks at campaigning.

There’s two tweets from her referencing it, a third in response to the very tweet by Dan, and her Facebook page has posted a graphic about it in 24 hours. What are you looking for?

She was part of Beto's campaign, and result aside, that was a highly smart and successful campaign. As far as I can tell, she learned nothing.

Oh man, she was endorsed by the most popular democratic political figure of the last 30 years and she made two tweets? And responded to Crenshaw (which is the bare minimum)?

I'd like to see her post a lot more videos. Post about what that endorsement means to her, what a great leader he was, and how she intends to further that legacy starting in Texas 2. She could be doing 2-3 5 minute videos a day, talking about things like that, policy (other than covid), and talking about the ways Crenshaw has specifically failed. Her FB activity is pretty low, and honestly I dont even get advertisements from her to donate, which is odd, as I follow her page.

Contrast her twitter with AOC's. Tell me it stacks up favorably.

Well Im going to have to disagree. Her twitter feed literally does all of that with the exception of 5 minute videos. Within 24 hours she has mentioned the endorsement 4 times on social media platforms both on her own and in defense from Crenshaw. She has not run away from Obama’s endorsement.

AOC is a juggernaut and an incumbent. Do you know any challenger in the country now that can rival that?

I mean, obviously I do not. Because I don't pay attention to this stuff that much, much less in other areas of the country.

I'm just frustrated. Her twitter and FB are very one note (covid) and IMO I don't see nearly as much activity as I'd like or hope to see from someone looking to get their message out there and be seen by other people. I want her to win...desperately. And all her feeds are basic covid call outs (which at this point most people are numb to) and some links, and most of it is pretty sterile. She could be commenting on so much more and criticizing Crenshaw in so many other ways or other topics. I'll go back to my hole now, because clearly I just want that motherfucking cyclops POS to lose, and I'm not feeling good about the chances.
