For a total of how many points again? I have no problem with a “bend don’t break” approach and it was a one possession game. We had a chance to win today and it came down to bad play calling, poor execution by Dak in the mid level passing game and laughable officiating on key plays.

All of their “possession football” wouldn’t have meant shit if the former didn’t come up on 3rd downs.

I don't fault the D, especially with the offense shitting the bed. That was a good offense we were playing. I think letting Goff get that last first down was a fuck up.

I don't know what game you watched, but the Rams took Dallas' front 7 out behind a wood shed and beat the fuck out of them, and that is putting it mildly.

Dak played about how Dak has always played, missed throws and made throws and quite frankly if the Rams had Dak tonight they win by 3 TDs because Goff played like shit. Goff just got 273 yards rushing.

The Rams scored 30 points. 30, that ain't good defense.

I will however thoroughly enjoy the annual offseason "Dallas needs a new QB".

The rams had 19 3 and out’s all season. If you’re playing percentages you onside kick.

This stat is pretty much meaningless considering the situation.  With a little over 2 minutes to go, you knew the Rams would run the ball to kill clock.  I think everyone would agree that the Cowboys chances of stacking the box and stopping the run and forcing a punt are greater than recovering an onside kick. This wasn't your run of the mill opening drive where the playbook is wide open.

There’s a reason every team wants Sean McVay 2.0 this offseason. He doesn’t turtle with 2 minutes left.

And you're a fucking puss who believes in this defense. Pussy

27 miller lites actually makes your posting more coherent.

Lower chance than that recovering onside kick

Not in this game it wasn't. They got 800 yards rushing and it looked like pros vs college against our dline.

Again, here's the logic, if you onside, you have 2 different avenues or chances to get the ball back. Kick it deep, you automatically eliminate one.

I'll take 2 opportunities over 1 any day of the week.

Looking ahead to the punt and trying to play field position was a luxury our defense didn't deserve this game.

Kicking deep was the right call...4/52 successful onsides this year are shit odds.  If Heath doesn't have his thumb up his ass the Cowboys would have gotten the ball back in potentially really good field position.  Heath put his thumb up his ass.

Somebody should have put Goff on his ass on that play right about the line of scrimmage. Heath may well be the culprit.

This concept unfortunately escapes most people.

you're not going to recover an onside kick. You're second chance at possession - stopping the rams at our fifty on three plays is a lower percentage than stopping them at their own 25 where they must play conservative.

Not really, I guess I'm the only person that thought they had 0% chance of forcing a 3 and out. Especially since it hadn't happened all game.

if you want to go that route, the rams gave up 0 onside kicks this year.  the cowboys recovered 0 onside kicks this year.  that's literally a 0% success rate.  if you want to play the percentages, you kick deep and try for a 3 and out.

They stacked the box on 3rd down. The rams then attacked the perimeter with a rpo.

4 out of 52 onside kicks is within a couple of percentage points to the 19/175 rate of 3 and out’s the Rams had this year.

Forcing 3 and outs was also a 0% success rate this game.

Again, it's 2 different possible ways to getting the ball back vs one. That's significantly better odds no matter how you slice it.

If you're worried about them recovering the onsides getting 7 yards and attempting a really long fg, don't be. They wouldn't have given dallas such good field position with a miss.

It doesn’t escape me but less than 2% odds isn’t a good option. Rams were always going to run on 1st and 2nd. When you know that, it’s hard to get gouged. If we stopped them at midfield after a 3 and out, they’d pin us, possibly inside the 10. With 1:45 left, one timeout and 90 yards, I don’t like those odds. I liked the decision to play it straight.

Garrett was okay with decision making today. Linehan was okay, except he must force Dak to run at the onset of a game. Quit reacting to teams and start dictating.

Defense was abysmal but Rams are really good. We were likely to have to win a shootout, and Dak put us in a terrible situation in the 2nd quarter.

I like whatever odds actually give us a chance to get the ball back before worrying about field position. Don't put the cart before the horse.

All game, they had perfect offensive calls. That's why they only punted once. Should be no surprise they had a great call there. I personally didn't watch after we kicked it deep.

Gonna take quite some time to stop the anal bleeding from the butt fucking the offensive and defensive lines took tonight.  Worst part of it is, even with as bad as the lines got punished, Dak missing some throws, a couple of bad drops, bad play calling, Zeke taken out of the game and mindfucked, they still had a chance if they had made a play or two.  And that will encourage our drunk, shit-for-brains, know-it-all owner to continue this bullshit head coach experiment a while longer.  Holy shit, kiss my ass, refill my bourbon, and pass the Tylenol!

tl, dr; fuck Ginger McShitcoach, but mostly fuck Jerrah.

Texans are cocky and no city exhibits this more than Dallas. When you combine that with a winning franchise to the extent the Cowboys have, the 23 year drought they’re in the midst of, and a total asshat attention whore owner, it’s not astonishing at all.

It is astonishing. There’s at least 20 people on my timeline going live right now just to talk shit about the Cowboys. It’s so bizarre to me.

By your logic, if I walk into a bar and see Kate Beckinsale and Alison Brie, I have 2 to 1 odds of fucking them because there's 2 of them.

It never ceases to amaze me how invested haters are in the Cowboys. It’s really astonishing. That’s all I see on my timeline

Oh god not this dumb shit again. One it's football I'm watching. Did you watch and post only about Texas games this year or did you ever post in any other game threads and have opinions? Again this is the game thread not the cowboys thread get over yourself

Ridiculous.  The qb run. should have been part of the main game plan.    Great move.   Extension time.

Dak had an easy 5 yard first down if he had just run instead of overthrowing Cooper (at this point in the beer count I dont remember which 3rd down situation they were in)

I’m not talking about this thread genius. I’m just commenting on how polarizing the Cowboys are

You don’t fault them?   They didn’t do fuck all all night.    They shit the bed.  The ‘Hot Boys’ were hot dogshit.   Matter of fact, that F bomb dropped during the Goff interview was either Talib or Gurley saying “ We ripped their fucking soul out!”     Well done

The Rams offensive line won the game.  Plain and simple.  The lanes CJ and Gurley had were huge.

Dallas had a good season.  But the Rams are a better team.  Not way better, but better.  And at home they win 7 out of 10 times. I real,y don’t think Garrett should get skewered for that game.  It wasn’t decided until the final 2 mins.
