Wake Forest has a good number one and number two player but their bottom part of the lineup is a bit weaker - Scott, Markes, and Banzer must pull through

I also find it funny that former line 6 for Texas, Julian Zlobinsky, transferred to Wake Forest and now rides the bench there

I am looking forward to checking it out tomorrow. Hopefully we win our first national championship in men's tennis.

Yep. Would be cool to add this one to the list.

Men’s tennis

Soccer

Softball

MBB

Rowing

Women’s Golf

Men Indoor TF

Men Outdoor TF

Men CC

maybe cross 3 off the list this year - men’s tennis, rowing (top 5) and women’s golf (in the championship stroke play trying to get to match play)

That's crazy, only one player from those two seasons had any kind of a notable pro career, & she was known more as a Gator.

From the '93 article...

Quote

Although she didn't earn All-America honors, one of the keys to the national championship run was Jill Craybas. She was originally projected to fill the No. 3 singles spot, but suffered a stress fracture in one of her legs in January. She missed the beginning of the spring season and did not return until mid-April. Without Craybas in the lineup, UT was 3-4 against teams ranked in the top 10 in the nation. With Craybas inserted in the lineup, Texas went undefeated, including the three consecutive wins over the top three teams as she posted a 6-0 record down the stretch.

And '95...

Quote

Texas clinched the match at No. 2 doubles when Pastor and Taylor defeated former Longhorn Jill Craybas and Divya Merchant, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2. Pastor and Taylor went up a break, 4-1, in the second set, but Florida fought off two match points and rallied to take the final two games. After taking a 5-0 lead in the final set, the Longhorns fought off a furious Florida rally, clinching the match when Merchant's return sailed wide.

Then this...

Quote

Rather than turning pro right away, she took the college route first, playing at the University of Texas at Austin during her freshman and sophomore years and helping to guide the Longhorns to the 1993 NCAA Championship.

Craybas finished up her degree in telecommunications at the University of Florida, where she was the 1996 NCAA singles champion and a two-time All-American and Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, guiding the Gators to the 1996 NCAA team title.

She's a damn good commentator now.

Lost the doubles point. We need a miracle in singles

Yep. And according to these announcers Wake is the greatest singles team ever.

They pretty much are, especially at the top of their lineup. They win most of their matches despite losing the doubles point. Now they have the doubles point in their pocket. Winning 4 of 6 singles matches against Wake is....very difficult. Not sure if any team has done that all year

edit: Florida did it, but Wake was without Gojo, their #1

Banzer up a break on court 6. If we could take 4 out of 6 first sets things will get very interesting

And he does! Tried to give it away with 2 double faults, but managed to get it done.
