Mitch McConnell.

mcconnell isn't pathetic. he's fucking evil, but he gets his house in order.

graham is pathetic. the way he rolled over for donald is ridiculous, and it's because he is compromised somehow about something he seems unable to own up to.

Semantics, I suppose. I think any politician like McConnell who so brazenly betrays his oath to the Constitution is pathetic and his thorough wretchedness long predates Graham turning into Trump's lapdog.

I'd almost feel sorry for this asshole if he put a bullet in his head to avoid whatever shame he's avoiding. He's choosing to aid and abet in destroying our country and putting the world at risk instead. He has no honor, no shame and no value to the world. He's less than zero and can get fucked.

I do not have sympathy for Graham because of how he has contributed to the destruction of our country. Does our big, dumb president likely have some information that Graham doesn't want to get out? Sure. I also believe that he is an opportunist of the worst kind. The compass that a decent human being would have on the inside about the decisions they make and how that will affect their fellow citizens is just not there for him. To be completely honest I am not certain how great a friend he was to John McCain. I think the opportunist in him used that friendship to advance his own agenda and what he wanted to do.

One thing that I know for sure is that the men and women who think like he does have got to go. The line has to be drawn on them. Lindsey Graham needs to be swept to the dustbin of history and be nothing more than a footnote and cautionary tale to future generations about the machinations of power and what it will do to you in the end.

Given how chummy Trump was with Epstein and Maxwell despite his protestations to the contrary, I'm rolling with the CIA type dossier of incriminating info as well. It's not too hard to find an underage 'model' (male or female-pick the preference) that looks older as an 'escort' and then you've got the goods on someone. It's one of the few meter movers when it comes to public opinion; hence the hubbub over QAnon and their 'childrens rescue' movement. It's as if Trump whispers in Lindsey's ear while golfing, "I'm going to throw you to those lions," and Lindsey just swallows and goes on Fox News.

In any other year, the NRA would have ensured Lady G had enough cash.

What a shame.  Thoughts and prayers.

Quoted for motherfucking truth. After all of this, if the NRA-Russia connection isn’t fully and publicly investigated, I will consider this entire experience a waste.

Y'all act like Lindsey was ever a good person. He is fine with all of this. Just like Mitch is. This is who they always were. They never had any ethics. They just pretended to when they needed to.

Lindsey is a closeted gay man and that's all someone would need to blackmail him given who he is. He doesn't have to be involved in illegal activity too.  Still, he isn't being blackmailed right now. He loves all this shit.

I never watch network TV anymore, well except maybe a football game, so I never see commercials anymore.

I had forgotten how intensely I associate that song with the PTSD of photos of abused animals.  WIfe and I would lunge for the remote with the opening chords.

This is so spot on - I’ve spilled a couple drinks trying to race to the remote to change the fucking channel - another reason why this spot is brilliant.  Lincoln project is money well spent.

My bet is that, if he doesn't win re-election, whatever it is that has caused him to betray the memory of John McCain will be outed, since he will have outlived any usefulness he might have had.

FYI:  Twitter does not like people claiming that Lindsey Graham is just Joe Exotic in a nice suit, with a college education, and without an intense hatred of Carole Baskin.

Well to be fair we don't know that he doesn't have an intense hatred of that bitch Carole Baskin.

So I'm not familiar with Mr. Winslow, but so far it seems like he's full of shit.

He's a writer of the Border trilogy books which is a good read but the Right doesn't like.  Basically, those with money, no matter how they get it, control governments--which is true.  And the books show how the money flows down.  The violence is at the bottom but it works to set up the top.  It's based on true or parallel events and sources them.  But crazy violent and does go over the top in ways you'd like to believe are over the top but may also be likely or could happen as well.  I dunno--I would hope they were all entirely fictional but Putin says hi.

I liked McCarthy's border trilogy better.

I do too but McCarthy haunts me because he's a damn poet.  And it's not in a good way.  Depends on your definition of realism but realism can be pretty specific but when abstracted in a sense can be all encompassing: can also engage your own fears as well as constructed and unknown.  Case in point--what's scarier a picture of a mad dog or an imagined mad dog?  If you chose imagined, then you may be affected by the artwork of Francis Bacon too.

If I was hairless and taller I’d go as the Judge for Halloween every year.

Apologies for this drivel.  It isn't factual--Francis Bacon is not a realist artist.  But McCarthy is a haunting writer is a better summation.
