She won't stop chewing on a hot spot. I think she was doing it intentionally so she would have a place to rest her head.

So I go out early this morning around 3AM to take a few pictures of the sky and just sit on the beach. These lovable beasts roll in about an hour later and I gave them all the attention they wanted. They were all still puppies and it was so cool watching them play, especially watching the brindle female try to open a coconut. Seeing them play and play and play was pretty cool. The brindle female is going to be really smart. Wish I could take her home!F45A3E73-5428-465D-9EA5-28B92188A122.thumb.jpeg.57401ee01ab021a5f07d1ebb83060a6f.jpegF4C9248B-FDD9-4371-A95A-48580A5A160D.thumb.jpeg.fd51d65d7fc7f1b7049cda75176ed789.jpegEC766483-105E-4C9D-96A6-6C9956562D85.thumb.jpeg.b0d0149de2925bcf24ed30fe0f93659e.jpegB66B8AC1-BC7B-4E04-A92F-C7BF7DE24CC4.thumb.jpeg.3ab934f7a426af7cf434edde8bd3e87a.jpeg6AAEA812-F0D5-4972-84B4-6012AA3C4987.thumb.jpeg.80bec64766857ba71a694747c3d5557f.jpegC2E4A67A-A9DB-469B-B25A-B58EEE79B214.thumb.jpeg.066f518efd3eb0f61782ac8cd6e205b9.jpeg

Sorry for the late reply. This was in Pora Pora. I was on Matira Beach because I was staying next to it. Dogs have a lot more freedom to roam there as well as in Tahiti. Saw so many awesome dogs while I was there. Some of the best memories I have from the last month are just hanging out with random dogs.

Tips for potential basset hound owners. It's at about the one year mark where they decide, "I guess I could pee outside."

Stubborn little fuckers.

My granddaughter just informed us that her beloved dog Toby (age 10) was diagnosed with lymphoma today. This is awful news as she  is still in deep grieving for the loss of her twin brother (my oldest grandson) last summer.

I’m glad that she has you and Mrs. Brat as grandparents.

We got a new pup just in time for Christmas. 8 week old Welsh Terrier. We named him Stetson that has already shortened to Steady/ Teddy. Day 2 of potty/crate training.  Timing is great with everyone on vacation from work and school.

This is my tennis ball. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My tennis ball is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my tennis ball is useless. Without my tennis ball, I am useless.

So sorry. Good dog. Another will come along.

13 years. Pretty good for a big dog. When I had to let go of my lab, Nellie, vet told me a big dog is pretty much a heartache waiting to happen.

So sorry, Dbeasy. May your memories soon be simply full of love and happy.

Rest easy, Sandi.

I usually get dogs in the 40 to 50 pound range. They've all lived past 15. Feed them quality food and get regular vet care.

Winter is officially over. Blue has started blowing her coat out. So much dog hair. I vacuum, and by the end of the day, it looks like I never did.
