Time for another ‘my dog is awesome’ thread

In addition to rapidly losing her eyesight and her bladder control, Gumbo is becoming gassy.  I was walking by her this afternoon as she was tending to dog stuff down there and she loudly farted.  She snapped her head back and had a total look of "what was THAT" followed by sheer disgust.

Hey, you did it, dog.

My senior dog has some lung issues so she has coughing fits all the time. The first couple of coughs usually come w/ a little toot at the same time, and it cracks me up every single time.

Bailey takes a nap and will rip ones out like she had lunch at GM Steakhouse.

Well, I’m here to say the hydrogen peroxide in syringe trick works. Little girl threw up 2 cups of chocolate chip cookie dough tonight. Always keep some in the house.

One of my beagles (RIP) ate a full pound of dark chocolate once. We dumped hydrogen peroxide down his throat at the emergency vet’s request before taking him in, Bailey who had 18 lives sure enough tossed it all right back out and lived.

That’s not a muzzle. It’s called a Gentle Leader harness. I use it as Harvey pulls with traditional harnesses or leashes. He does not on this at all. He has full use of his mouth in this. And no, there is no NYC ordinance other leashing your dog.

I just got one of those for Sebastian.  I've trained him to heel and not pull on walks, but I haven't been able to break him from lunging at dogs we see on our walks.  The gentle leader harness is working great to stop that.  I thought he would fight me about putting it on, but he doesn't seem to mind.  When we get home, though, he runs around rubbing his face on the carpet.

Harvey does that too.
