yeah he will be a first round pick if he leaves this year. he needs a couple years, but some team will take him in round one.

I've heard some non Texas centric lottery talk recently.  I'm not wise enough to know, but his conference performance could mean a lot.

Allen and Bamba both really stepped up their play in conference. If Hayes does the same then the lottery is not out of the question. His foot work, his soft hands, his size and athleticism, and his beautiful FT stroke all point towards a really good NBA player if he's coached up correctly.

Hayes really should stay to muscle up some more and work on moves.  But the $ is insane and teams are willing to take a chance.  Remember in the old days Kobe went 13th.

...and was promptly traded for an aging Vlade Divac.
