Going off memory from a tweet I read last night and I may be off but, I think the tweet said that the US was the only team to make the semi's in both U17 and U20 two years ago.  Neither coach was retained.

If you're planning on going to the US/Canada game next week in Orlando, you'd better get your tickets quickly.  They've sold a whopping 8,000 as of today.

It is really sad how much of a fuck I am giving now. It sucks

The best thing about this game is that Toronto & Seattle players won’t be on the roster(s).

Bradley, Altidore, and Roldan... NO!!

Morris has actually played well recently, so I would have been fine with his selection.

The NEGATIVES:

Guzan, Trapp, Zardes, no Green, no Holmes, and Adams still injured.

Did I hear that correctly?  Puli the 2nd EPL player to reach 5 goals after Mo?

No, there's quite a few players with 5+. Pulisic is tied for 9th right now though which is phenomenal after his slow start.

It’s difficult to score from the bench and nearly impossible to score from the stands*.

*Though it is much easier to get digits from there.

Mo Salah and Pulisic are the only players at English clubs with 5 goals and 5 assists in all comps.

Seems Lampards slow introduction of Pulisic to the squad has been master class.

Was Berhalter any good as a MLS coach? ... what type of formation / strategies did he run there? ... I'm not seeing how he brings anything that resembles a FIFA level coaching resume'... I think even Bradley's old man would be better.

I’m sure that it was suggested that the best  way to heal that “injury” and stay in the starting XI was to remain in London and “rehab that injury”.

God I hope so.

I've often wondered how thankful elite players are for various knocks and pissy organizations that don't want their players playing in national team games.  I mean, if you're Puli and the US it about to play Mexico in a qualifier, by all means, jump on a plane.  As much as Puli loves his country, he couldn't have possibly been that excited about flying to the US for camp with this crappy team and crappy game.

I knew that part... just wondered if there was anything about him or his resume that those who hired him were saying supported the decision from a soccer coach standpoint.

God no.  Else he wouldn't have been in mls.

Appears the excitement here over the USMNT Canada game rivals the excitement in Orlando, where they sold a whopping 11K tickets.  Good news Morris scored off a cornering he 2nd minute.  US up 1-0

I totally forgot about this. Work is the official excuse, but tbh, my interest in the USMNT is at an all-time low.

Anyway, good to see we're beating a bad team badly. Certainly better than losing to them embarrassingly like last month.

There’s only like 7-8k in the stands...

Think they said 11k tickets

Morris is actually a decent winger. Speed and fitness for days, and good size and strength.

All he needs to do is be fast and cross it, and that's about all he's capable of. Definitely better on the wing than up top in a pure striker's role.
