Well this makes me look like I over-reacted just a tiny bit. Eff me. I still have PTSD from last two weeks.

It’s okay, you are just following the standard flowchart. Did we just lose a game? If yes, freak out. If no, go ahead and freak out anyways just to be safe.

Just imagine where he'd be if he didn't fuck up the Garrett Wilson recruitment.

Wilson was Ohio State from the beginning to the end of his recruitment. Who cares...receivers are easy to find replacements for.

Uhh didn't Wilson say he would've committed to us last year if our offense was garbage?

E: I mean he didn't use those words but I remember that being the sentiment. Hardly tOSU from beginning to end.

So, he would’ve committed to us if our O was garbage? Totally rational...I guess.

Uh. I care.  We don't need receivers. We need difference making receivers.

Not only do I care but Herman cares.

Let’s just move on from Wilson.  Urban negative recruited us and the kid drank the kool aid.  He’s gone out of his way to bad mouth us to other recruits.  He’s completely bought into the myth that Herman is the bad guy and got his position coach fired along with getting Urban suspended.

Receivers are not our problem. We keep forgetting about Woodward and especially Epps, I think he’s gonna be a helluva dude. Plus this class of receivers.

With that being said I think our next class with be a lot smaller 17-20 range with more bulk than speed.

Yep and he favorited the tweet Zach smith put up a couple of weeks ago saying he was innocent and charges dropped lol.

his interest was legit at the outset. but i can say without a doubt now that he is not interested in Texas at all anymore.

We played a small part in getting his creepy wife-beating, dildo-buying position coach fired and he's going down with THAT ship. I was dumb when I was 17 but I wasn't that dumb.

I have been following Texas recruiting for a little over ten years. I am young so I might lack the wisdom of some of you but I have noticed something interesting that has happened. At some point the thought process changed when it comes to “writing off players”. I remember a player could be a 3-4 star ranked player, a junior, and have little playing time and he was still in the conversation of contributing. Now it seems like if someone doesn’t start as a freshman or redshirts then he must only not be good enough to ever start but also won’t add depth. I realize this is a getoffmylawn sounding post but it’s quite a different change of perception. Lastly, if you disagree then do what others do and believe I was stoopid high when I wrote this...cause of my UN and all.

It’s not whether or not you start as a freshman. It’s whether or not younger guys pass you on the depth chart and take your place if you’re not already starting. You can’t run third string behind a starter and a kid younger than you.

I still don’t get the idea that Garrett Wilson is a five star super recruit.  He is good, but he doesn’t have elite speed or size.   He puts up big numbers at Lake Travis - just like their top WR has every year for the last 15 years, except this time it’s finally a legit recruit instead a future frat bro named Garrett or McKenzie.   It all feels very Jonathan Gray-ish or Katy RB-ish to me.

And in case you think it’s just sour grapes because he’s not coming here, I buy Dylan Wright and Theo Wease being elite prospects, and they’re going to our rivals.

I've seen every game he has played in HS and he's a rare breed of talent that comes along every few years.  Some of them peak in HS, some continue to grow and peak in college, some keep going.  Don't know if he has hit the wall yet but I would guess he will be great in college

But he puts on a show against the highest level of competition in the state.  Last year after Baldwin went down in the opening series against Allen in the finals he made jaw dropping catches that made card look like a better QB than he is, and he shut down wease playing man against him.

He is definitely all in on tOSU, but that program can burn to the ground on a giant pile of couches and the world would be better for it

I've seen Wilson a few times too. He will be good in college. His hands are ridiculous. I'm not worried about losing him one bit. We have quite a few studs committed and on campus. Wilson can enjoy that crap hole.
