I know, I know, always with the jokes about KK's social life, but he's got a girlfriend that might that just might make the west coast his personal preference.

Alright, Kliff.

Losing Houston sucks. I assume Anderson and Ellis will get one more look, but I'm guessing they punt at WR outside of the open offers to McCoy and Higgins. I wouldn't mind the Kennedy take personally, but I know there's no real consensus on him from folks following this.

Thanks for your input. It’s important to keep things fresh on the recruiting board.

I think OU wants Houston, and I don't think we wanted to lose him.

I know a lot of recruitniks are privately glad about this, and I don't agree at all.

We're on the same page here. We need fucking speed and this guy brings it.

And now we have a decommit.  I know who I blame for this.

I still like our WR’s and with each passing day with kk not at usc it help our chances(maybe?) with bru.

But that Houston had speed which we needed. This one sucks

I like Lewis, but I'd just as soon save the scholarship for next year if we don't land Bru or Higgins.

Or maybe take someone like Henderson or even Coker as additional Shepherd insurance. Or Steven Parker.

I would take Cunningham and Williams

Wonder if any issues for Houston qualifying at Texas?? ... Hate that BlowU probably the benefactor of this decommit and that he's a blazer......

Would help if LJH and/or CJ are returning for 2019 Horns FB Season

--------------------------------------------------------------

Last Week's IT write-up mentions this:

I caught up with a source on Texas wide receiver commit Demariyon Houston. He says OU hasn't been in contact with Houston and that Houston still plans on signing in February. In February? "That's always been his plan." We'll see if the staff asks him to sign early or not. (9.95 failure)

There is some 'save the ship' potential to finish this cycle to the benefit of the next one.

Herman mentioned what we've been saying for a while now; a Big 12 Championship doesn't do much for 2019 but helps a lot with the class of 2020. Go get that win, fellas.

I really liked Houston.  He was my favorite receiver take to date outside of Jake Smith. These are the Jaelon Raegors and Hollywood. Browns of the world that haunt us for years. If we dont get Bru, this WR class will have a big hole in it.

Bru and Houston are completely different players...

Does this mean LJH and CJ are coming back ?

Do any people in the know here have any idea what draft grade they’re looking for to come out?  I can’t imagine either is above a 3rd rounder this year.

Yes, but Bru’s overall talent is rare, and I can overlook losing top flight speed for a total package guy.

Different kind of WR. Houston was the speed guy, Lewis is a bigger dude.

We'll have enough speed in Jake Smith and Marcus Washington. Damn the decommitment sucks, but by no means is it lethal.

This Houston thing is very strange to me.

On a separate note, since we are talking about other WRs, I've personally always liked this kid:

Hammer and sickle on his tree. Do not want.

I am not sure how sickles are manufactured where you come from. But that looks more like an Islamic star within a crescent moon.

Willing to be part of a collective effort or sacrifice everything for the team, either way we're good.

The star-inside-a-crescent motif long predates Islam. Or Christianity, for that matter.
