Listening to a stream right now on KOOP 91.7, the Eggmen are at the Austin Library recreating the rooftop concert.  Well, that part's already done, now they're just playing other 68-69 era songs, good stuff.

Seems like this is Paul’s attempt at rehabilitation/revisionist history of the Get Back/ Let It Be movie and sessions. Go out on a more positive note, as it were.

I know they’ve ready released Let It Be Naked a while back. I’m wondering is this means we can look for another boxed set a la Sgt. Peppers and the White Album.

They look so old and wise up there, hard to remember they were still in their 20s.

Watching the original Let It Be right now, it's so dark, hopefully they can lighten it up some.  And I know what broke up the Beatles,  the hours (and I mean HOURS) spent on Maxwell's fucking Silver Hammer, what a load.  Seriously though, will be curious to see the footage Peter Jackson can dig up of them all having fun together, because in the original they are definitely not.

Did you burn a VHS version?

I've tried to find a copy for a while and they're rare as hens teeth.

Ken Mansfield, former U.S. manager for Apple Records, recalls watching the momentous 1969 rooftop performance mere feet from the Fab Four

2003 article about the recovery of the Nagra tapes I mentioned above, source of hundreds of bootlegs and which will surely be integrated into the new film

I have a VHS copy from a Blockbuster rental from a couple of decades ago before it got blackballed. I was surprised to find it was not copy protected and duped just fine. I never watch it, though. It's pretty depressing. The recordings of the rooftop sessions are more enjoyable. I always wondered how many of those other takes were filmed.

Let's hope Peter Jackson does as well with Let It Be as he did with the WWI footage.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the WWI doc. It's not showing near my shithole town, though. They finally put out something I would actually go to a theater to watch.
