It’s just not.  I’ve gone to browser a half dozen times and always go back to tapa.

Jesus Christ just stick with the browser for a few weeks and you’ll realize Tapa brings nothing of value to the table. It’s just getting used to the browser. I should know, I was on tapa forever.

Immamac, I think you should just stop supporting tapa. It brings little to no value.

The complainers are still wishing they had Microsoft DOS.

An app is almost always going to provide a better user experience than a website.  There’s a reason they exist.

i get it.  Tapa sucks ass and every now and then one of its bugs impacts you non-users, but I assure you it is indeed a better user experience in general than the web view.

imma has not supported tapa in like two years

The mobile version of this site is far better than Tapa, we've all used tapa before. Anything that Tapa can do this sites mobile version does just as well. Most importantly since he doesn't support Tapa you should feel or obliged to not fuck the user experience for everyone else up because you refuse to change, boomer, respectfully ofc. lol

This is completely untrue. Tapatalk is bad. It's an awful experience.

I fully appreciate that supporting, for you, is horrendous.

I can assure you, though, that as a 49 year old (who has been in software for 30 years and is not a tech phobe boomer) reading and navigating on an iPhone is superior on tapa.  It just is.

This isn’t new.  Almost every business I work with has an app in addition to their site because they can create a better UX in an app.  It’s only logical.  What has been done here to support web is fantastic, but it will never be an app.

You're just a hard headed fuck is all.

Tapatalk is a literal pile of garbage app. It's horribly written and it fails as a client super hard.

Tapa fucks up the user experience for all of the other users of the board. Thanks for being a selfish cunt.

Ok, cool.  Hook em

I see that you don’t even realize several of the people you are arguing with, myself included, are ex or current software developers. At some point you’ll need to look in the mirror to finally see who’s full of shit on this thread.

Never once have I questioned your credentials.  I'm simply telling you the UX, in my opinion, is indeed superior on Tapa.  It's really not that difficult.

Looks like there are an influx of similar users on their support forum.   Everyone seeing the emoji issue on Pro, switching to standard only to find that it has ads, which we bought pro to remove.  There was a post like 8 years ago where they were letting pro users migrate to vip for free, but that old blog where they were doing it is now dead.  My hunch is that if we ask behind the scenes their support team will migrate us.

Since you have Tree Fiddy there is no ads on Surly Mobile Browser and it doesn't fuck up the forums for everyone.

It's done.  It's over.  You can go now go share your meaningless opinion on music threads about artists you don't listen to, books you havent read and watches you dont own.

I don’t think I use Tapatalk Pro because I don’t seem to have the emoji issue (the app I use is the only one I see in the App Store and it was updated 2 weeks ago, so that should be it). I do have “VIP” or whatever, maybe I just have that on regular Tapatalk?

Only annoying thing is you can’t tap on any embeds (like twitter/insta) anymore.

L-O-Fucking-L if you really believe that the reason every company in the world wants you to install their app is so that they can create a better UX. Nothing to do with creating captive audience or sucking up and reselling data. After working in tech you really believe that every app is better than a website? I shudder to think of what a wreck your iPhone must be.

FYI, they’re actively working on a fix for this

Nope. I don’t think every site is worse than its app counterpart and didn’t say that.

Of the businesses I work with, the apps are superior.

I honestly don’t understand the butthurt over this. Why in the hell do we have website-stans? It’s fucking weird

BECAUSE YOU'RE RUINING EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE ELSE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT.
