Please inject Corby whining about the Texas SEC schedule into my veins.

He’s gonna lose it when OU starts having 7 and 8 win seasons. It ain’t the Big 8 or whatever anymore.

I hope they fucking lose to Maine. Fucking Maine! I’ve never heard of any sport from Maine

Was he doing that?

It’s like the Sooners are incapable of seeing that we scheduled Michigan in non-conference. I know it’s too much for them to realize how easy their schedule was last year.

He's been whining about it every time they mention the SEC. The HL is doing CFB preview segments and Texas was first up. Is it somewhat valid, sure. We did get a favorable schedule primarily because we just got done playing LSU and Bama. We host Georgia. They host Alabama. We were given away games with our traditional rivals that we got back. They got @Mizzou and @LSU. Sucks for them that Mizzou isn't a cakewalk this year. We lucked into Florida sucking. I think it's more Corby is really scared that OU is going to get destroyed this year and that's difficult for OU Corby's ego. We're all used to what it feels like when our program has a downturn. I hope we start the cascade of suck for OU this year.

If you don’t like Matt Maclearin you better get used to him because he’s bringing in new advertisers like breweries.

I don’t like him, but the extent of the dislike has decreased over the last couple of months.

just the sip is a trash segment.

this is confusing.

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/allcity-network-launches-fifth-market-with-expansion-into-dallas-302230027.html

The ALLCITY DLLS platform will offer a mix of unique editorial content, social media engagement, and on-the-ground events, all curated by a team of local experts. Helmed by longtime ESPN and New York Times NBA insider Marc Stein, the DLLS outlet features talent from Mavs.com, The Athletic, Star Telegram, Dallas Stars, and local sports radio stations. This localized focus will ensure that DLLS becomes the go-to source for fans not only looking to stay informed, but who also want to participate and connect with the communities around their teams.

throwing this here because i'm curious if any local radio talent shows back up in this particular arena.

I cancelled my IJB subscription today. Not enough content being put out and the stuff they are doing is boring, repetitive, and uninteresting. I've also considered canceling my dumb zone sub but haven't pulled the trigger on it. Just not sure if I'm really getting my money's worth every month. At this point I'm only still subbed because I wish they were still on the ticket

I wonder if Dan, Jake, and Sirois - in that order - are having serious regret. They cost themselves a lot of money, all of them. I don’t think Danny has regrets but he had a lot of talent and I think was just lazy. Rhyner should have regrets too. He didn’t need the money, but tanked his legacy and brought down talented people with him.

How do they feel when the Kelce bros get $100m?

He doesn't bother me too much like some other P1s, but there IS something off about him. Can't place it. He's just weird.

I couldn't come up with a "why I think he is weird" when I posted this...but today there was a great example. They were doing cross talk with the Sweet Spot and they were talking about "Ticket Fight Night." They asked Matt if he had ever been to the event, or was last year his first one. His reply was "I don't think I had been before the one last year." Huh? How could you not know that?

To me, that's weird. Also his OBSESSION with beer/breweries. I love beer. I love bourbon. I love football. But I do not bring it up in every conversation I ever have. Anyway...I guess he bothers me more than I thought. hahaha.

My hot sports opinion of the day: Monty is the best thing to happen to the Ticket in a LONG time. I love him and think he should have his own show. I don't mind the Sweet Spot at all and have started liking it more than the Invasion. Mainly because of him.

He's like the dude in the Progressive ads wedging his motorcycle into every situation.

Sean bass rundown of his solo aggy trip was the stuff of long naps, god that was painful and uninteresting.

A good meteor could’ve killed all those Aggies, Domers, and Sturm/Bass. I guess the cosmos wants us to have stuff to bitch about.

if you accept EA for what he is he can be pretty entertaining.

He has zero qualities. He’s Rosengarden on the air except less intelligible. He and Killer are the worst “personalities” on that station ever outside of TC who absolutely was the worst.

He went by himself? Woof

I found it both sad and funny that nobody from the station went with him and he didnt link up with sturm who was ‘obviously’ down there. Especially considering mino said he and corby watched the game together at a bar and were out late after

ratings book is out, courtesy of Peter Welpton again:

Here's August (which actually is the middle of July through the middle of August).

This is a return to the far more typical Summer ratings cycle we've seen over time vs the phenomena of 2023. Summer months have almost always aligned with the lack of sports in July and August and that is what is showing between the two sport-focused stations. History tells us as the Cowboys season, along w/ when the Stars and Mavs kick back on, so will the overall performance of these two.

I say "overall" because Musers and Hardline remain #1 in their respective drive times.

house rule: Remember, you compare dayparts across the different stations but not a station across the dayparts. This ratings period runs from July 18 – August 14, 2024
