Is the ticket going to talk about the 25th ticket stock today? And an aside, if you drove 8 hours and/or flew in to go to that event and have your picture taken with their fucking Marconi’s then you are officially a loser...

I think I heard Junior say someone sold a kidney to fly in from Australia but couldn't get in because of the lines.

Cue all of the jokes about "fake news" and the current state of journalism, but the clown in question was actually three-time Marconi Award winning sportscaster Dan McDowell, of 1310 The Ticket in Dallas.

McDowell's unusual, but fitting, getup for Monday night's event actually has an inspiring back-story.

"This was a bet that I had with my Dad," McDowell told NJ Advance Media Monday night at State Farm Arena. "It was one of his last wishes, before he died, he always challenged me to do something crazy out here. He'd see media day, and I promised him that I would. He actually died, and that's why we're messing around this year.

"Every year, we'd be at NFL media day, and my Dad would watch on TV and try to see us in the background."

Heard them talk about that on the Musers this morning. So damn funny. What did Corby do to piss off the NFL flak yesterday?

I almost had to pull over when I heard that. I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face.

Wondering the same.  He’s been teasing it all night and now he just said they’d talk about it tomorrow.  Surely he didn’t get kicked out of Media Night just for asking some questions about smoking cigarettes?

Sounds like Gordo did something too.  Apparently between Corby and Gordo’s wireless antics and Dan’s clown show, they’ve all been told they need to reign it in or they’ll be kicked out.

Had to have been more to it because big dumb Danny said he almost went to jail and Corby agreed.

In case you missed it, here is what Corby said.

"We don't go in with any malicious intent. We go in to make people laugh." -- Corby Davidson, radio station KTCK, 1/30/19.

On Monday afternoon, 1/28/19, Corby heard it was the 33rd anniversary of the explosion of Space Shuttle Challenger, on which 7 astronauts died, including school teacher Christa McAuliffe.

At media night, Corby talked to Adam Butler, a player for the NE Patriots, about the Challenger Disaster. Corby told Butler jokes about Christa McAuliffe. Butler didn't think they were funny. "That's kind of messed up, don't you think?" said Butler after hearing Corby's second McAuliffe joke. After Corby told Butler a third McAuliffe joke, and Butler walked off.

Corby went on to another football player and started asking the player about cigarettes. A security officer in a red shirt walked up and got in Corby's face and said, "You need to leave." The security guy got on his walkie-talkie and said "The media member is being escorted out for asking inappropriate questions." Then Corby was required to meet with the security guy's supervisor.

Security said, "The Patriots personnel came to me and told me they wanted you removed for asking inappropriate questions about the space shuttle disaster." Security told Corby not to leave and that the Atlanta Police Department was on its way. The cops arrived.

Corby complied. "I didn't want to be the guy that launched The Ticket out of the Super Bowl."

Corby explained to the Atlanta police about how they tell space shuttle jokes at The Ticket. The police officer asked what else happened. "What else did you do?" asked the cop. "Nothing," responded Corby. The cop said he had nothing else to say and was "good here." Atlanta cops have more serious issues to attend to than space shuttle jokes.

Corby says he told security he works for KRLD. Security told him not to leave through the normal exit. Corby left through some scary back alley.
