I talked to Bobby about this just this morning actually even before posting here. There's also a need to do more cross pollination and syndication when facing opponents (having luicci on is smart, but went underleveraged).

The content they put out is of absurdly high quality and there are often 1-5 minute stints of absolute fucking greatness that have a shelf life of a few days to a week. All it takes is effort and clipping and production, but right now it's honestly a bunch of dudes grinding it out and "making it happen".

They should push into YT shorts, IG reels, TikTok. Also “clips” content which is basically highlights of their content for the day or week or whatever time frame they choose are big time. A lot of the larger content creators have those channels setup with their editors. They just name the channel OTF clips.

Also, Ben Hartsock is the dumbest of all hosts on XM. He’s genuinely a room temperature IQ idiot and he also never shuts up.

His take this morning about the timing of the transfer portal was about the dumbest I've ever heard.   Essentially saying this is what the athletes wanted and it's pro sports now so it comes with the territory and fuck the kids for putting coaches in this position.  Essentially the take I would expect from a Boomer Aggy.  Completely ignoring the point from Lashlee (that was a good take and replayed) and Dusty where they emphasized that if this is pro sports no pro sport would ever schedule free agency before the season is over.  I had to just fast forward through that segment it was so bad.

I tried to watch a Horns247 show last night with Chip Brown and Eric Henry on YouTube. Oof. Don't know how they keep the lights on.

It gets worse. Try sitting through IT live stream with Ian Boys and you'll appreciate having toothpicks shoved under your toenails

Part of me is baffled that you guys/ladies actually get on fb

Then I remember you're all older and I guess fb is for older people? I dunno. I haven't been on there in years. Occasionally I'll get on IG, but that's where I draw the line. I don't care what anyone from HS is doing, I don't care what anyone from college is doing, I don't care what my family is doing.

And fuuuuuuck Tik Tok.

Ian Boyd knows a lot more about football than me. I have liked reading his breakdowns in the past. But you don't need to be Kubrick to realize he shouldn't be on camera.

When he suggested we move Rojo to LB I knew we were dealing with someone who may know routea and concepts, but nothing about players.

I agree CJs grown on me. I like the shows without Bobby TBH. It seems to flow a bit smoother in dialog. Bobby seems to cut people off and then there's a weird ad read. The best shows are  CJ, Gerry and Rod, especially when Gerry is drinking.

I agree. Make very short single-topic clips. We all want to consume the media but might not want to watch a whole 20 minute video.

Rod has grown on me, but you're correct that Bobby does cut people off and it's annoying as hell. Gerry will have a good comment coming up, and then Boom! Bobby has to get the last word in.

However, I do prefer Bobby/Gerry/CJ  to any of the other shows. Occasionally I'll watch Longhorn Live Stream, but that's rare. They just seem to regurgitate the same stuff from C&F. But I'll watch anything with Gerry, and really my favorites are Gerry and CJ. They run smooth and they bounce off of each other really well. CJ has gotten much better in front of the camera (more confident); Gerry is Gerry, and he personally does all of the lifting for the show, imo.

OTF certainly gets the best guests. Finebaum, Lugenbill, Pate plus the former players. Tony Hills is freakin great.

Concur. Love watching/listening to Tony Hills. Dude is such a great Longhorn. Loved seeing Baline Irby the other day. Glad to see he's doing well.

Had he not gotten hurt, he could have been one of the greats. Hearing him talk about the UT/USC game and all his friends rooting for SC, and him watching David Thomas and that's when he knew he wanted to visit was awesome. Glad that he's still loving and living in Austin.
