I thought it was cool they got some real life martial arts champions in there like Zara.

Was also under the impression this was the final season. Are there more episodes this season or is there going to be another season?

I think the final handful of episodes are in January.

I'm looking forward to how they explain why the rest of that tournament isn't cancelled, due to the Anchorman fight and the dude literally dying on the mat. They'll probably just have Zara and Tory scissor it out for the trophy.

Miyagi would be rolling over in his grave over literally everything that happens in this show. In the original, fighting in the tournament was just a way for Daniel to prove himself against a bunch of bullies. Now karate tournaments are the most important things on the face of the earth.

Through episode one, and high school kids learning karate is still the single most important thing in the history of the world.

The final half season was unrealistic, cliched, cheesy, and full of fan service driven nostalgia.   In other words, it was fucking awesome.  Many thanks to the creators of this show and for all those that came back to be a part of it.

Look I didn't come here for the realistic plots and incredible acting.   I mean let's face it - the demon sorcerer Miyagi helped LaRusso win the the first trophy with an illegal kick.  Despite that, Lawrence still was a class act and congratulated him.  So despite how many times the show went off the rails (and not in small ways), the fan service driven nostalgia was worth all the fucking stupidity (and there was a lot).

Enjoyed the ending.

Spoiler

Other than that one dude going "Where's Silver?", was there no mention at all of Kreese and Silver dying on the boat? Nothing from Daniel or Johnny? Also, I was pretty shocked that Johnny didn't do the crane kick at the end. He even looked to Daniel and got the same nod that Miyagi gave Daniel. And that would have fallen right in with the "let him come to you" stuff.

Also, Miguel looks 30 now.
