I listened this morning on the way to the farm.

It's fucking trash, IMO.  It clearly isn't the Crowes w/out Gorman.  It reminded me of the recent Rolling Stones album.

I tried it a couple times after that.  Nothin'.  I just don't have a need for any new Chris Robinson music at this point in my life (as much as I love pretty much everything the Black Crowes did prior).  It just felt stiff, brittle, and kinda put on for lack of a better term.

I gave it a listen. seemed decent to me.  the magic is never going to happen again so people just have to decide how much they care.

It's rare when you have situations where you lose an integral member, get a "Mick Taylor", and the music gets better.

I've been spoiled by other now ancient bands I like making surprisingly good late career records.  The last Pearl Jam and Foo Fighter albums come to mind.  The Crowes have just lost too much of what made them unique at this point.  I'd be more into a Chris and Rich acoustic album than what this was.

My buddies want to see The Black Crowes opening for Aerosmith.  I am pretty meh on the whole deal.  If Gorman was still drumming I would jump but I think I am going to pass.

I saw the crowes last month in DFW. They put on a great show.

Chris has a mirror on stage so that he can watch himself dance. It may be the most vain thing I’ve ever seen.  But, he acknowledges his vanity during the show. Which is nice.
