If Bernie loses the nomination I will campaign so hard for Trump, just like I did in 2016. No one is allowed to defeat our glorious leader. All who oppose him must be destroyed.

You're in so much trouble in the "Bernccelarationism" Discord.

I still haven't forgiven the Bernie supporters who kept posting the #NeverHillary after the convention but I am hopeful that they will vote for the Democratic nominee even if it isn't Bernie. By now they surely realize the other candidate is destroying our country.

I voted straight ticket Democrat except for Trump. It is the way of the true Bernie Bro. I spent years training for this moment. Waking up every morning, explaining macroeconomic principles of socialism to people of color on twitter, followed by a rigorous session of harassing women in pantsuits who I assumed supported Hillary. Then every night I would receive coded transmissions from my Russian handlers about how to trick mid westerners into thinking that Trump would bring back manufacturing and give them a lifetime supply of fentanyl.

Bernie supporters already did this in 2016, and voted for the winning primary candidate right in line with historical norms (8-12% defection). And that was after a rigged primary. The only ahistorical example anyone can find is Hillary primary voters going to McCain in 2008 (17-25% defection).

The left isn't going to defect to the right. It's the center that you have to worry about.

Yes, I was one of those Bernie supporters.  And I'm not worried about them defecting, I'm worried about them not voting at all.

If she had obtained insurance prior to expiration of her COBRA, it would not have been a preexisting condition in most if not every state.  And, in all likelihood, her pre-ACA coverage would have been cheaper than it is today, notwithstanding the overall increase in health insurance premiums, and wouldn't have had a $7000 deductible (which in itself is going to be fairly crippling if not catastrophic).  Obamacare may have done great things for the poor, but it is a straight horsefucking for the self-employed or others that don't have access to employer provided insurance.

Only reason I respond is that "preexisting condition" is often celebrated as the huge big contribution by Obamacare, and it was not the issue many would have you believe.  It was only an issue for those who had no coverage or let theirs lapse.  You wouldn't think the chronically or seriously ill would let coverage lapse.

Back on topic, Beto seems to win the likeability contest and makes pretty good noises, but he's kind of policy-deficient.  He's sort of the polar opposite of Warren.

She was not going to be able to obtain health insurance prior to cobra expiring. That’s why we got married when we did. No insurance company would insure her unless they were forced into it by her employer - we called all of them and were laughed at. If the ACA had been around at the time it would have changed our situation drastically.

Why isn’t Beto clearer on policy?!??!?

For the record, this is conservative affiliated account trying to paint Beto as a baby killer but she selectively cuts off Beto’s entire answer.

Holy shit, what a bold stance.

The other 2020 Candidates should follow his lead and become...

*checks notes*

pro-choice.

Totally this.

16 people debating isn't a debate.  Its reality TV.  Which everyone seems to love.

Not sure how the parties should deal with larger pools of canidates, seemingly a good thing on its face.  16,18, 20 people on a debate on the stage isn't the answer.  Hell, anything more than 4 or 5 is pretty much a circus.

Need to create a primary bracket.

At least Fox News isn’t concern trolling about policy.

It's only a matter of time before one of them come up with something super creative like "Bozo and Butto" for Beto and Mayor Pete.

It's also only a matter of time before someone at Fox drops "Butt Buddies" for Mayor Pete's supporters, then wonders why all the libtard snowflakes are so upset.

that second clip...he went straight after Trump,  directly quoting his policies and words without anger or condescension. if he makes it, and can do that sort of thing on stage directly to Trump's face, while he's huffing and making faces and throwing out petty insults... the contrast will be something to behold.

That’s the Beto that will run away with this election. He may not get there, he may falter but if it’s one one one he will whip trumps ass.

This is good.
Using your own celebrity/status to elevate the voices of the people on the ground is a vital part of building a real movement.

He did that every day in his senate campaign. He’s as good of a campaigner as you’ll ever see. That guy and the 100 people closest to him are now solid democrats and Beto supporters.

There is a 100% chance of this happening.
