Pierce needs to think a bit about how he handles starters and relievers at the start of an inning.

One might question Henley starting the 8th .. but, there was no fucking question after he walked the leadoff man on four straight pitches.

This one’s on him.

Exactly this

Like they said earlier, Pierce often goes with what he thinks is a hot hand.  But that four-pitch walk should have disabused him of that idea mas pronto.

And not having someone up and ready is beyond dumb and inexcusable.  That isn't a judgment call.

Yes. Henley should have walked out there knowing that one baserunner and he’s done.

Pearce seemed to just assume that Henley would get 3 quick outs without question.

I'm ok with Blair coming out to start the inning because he's throwing a gem, but Cole has to be ready and he obviously wasn't.

That was the first inning today tech got the leadoff man on base.

All six tech runs scored so far this weekend reached on walks.

Tadlock smart enough not to push his luck. The lead makes he decision easier, but I’d guess this was always the move.

How'd that work for him last night?

Q is not good at holding runners.

Tadlock just abused his inexperience twice.....

Disagree. Q did exactly right by (1) not balking or (2) being suckered into a rundown between 1B and 2B. Either would have probably resulted in another TT run.

I've seen them so many times that even if I mute them I still hear it in my head.

You're just wrong.  Horns practice that play and should be able to get an out and not give up a run......

I’ll bet Shaka’s boyz practice, too.

Plus, there were 2 outs. The focus is on getting the hitter.
