We will have a lot of arms available tomorrow. Just need Cobb to give us 3 or 4 innings and Quintanilla, Whelan, Stevens, Kubicheck, Bocchi and Bryant should all be good to go.  Probably a similar approach to last Sunday against Tech.

what has TCU's OOC schedule been like?  every other guy is hitting over .300.

Single games against UVa, Vandy, CSF, UH, Aggy, Rice.  Series against LBSU (2-1).  So not a total pushover but not murderous like ours.

True but we've played a much tougher SOS so far. Based on RPI, Texas has played the #9 SOS and TCU #190.

I'm only halfway trolling, but has any buttmunch in the football forums ever said the schedule was too hard?

I think Pierce might start giving Diaz more innings now. Seems like they have more confidence in his health.

He's filthy so that would be pretty big addition to add another weekend bullpen arm if he can stay healthy.

Aside from the fact that we mashed the ball tonight which comes and goes, I like that Pierce seem to let guys swing away in hitters count and attack at the plate. You give your guys a lot more confidence at the plate when you let them have some freedom, nothing worse as a hitter than getting the take sign and watching the next pitch go right down the middle. Also helped that TCU struggles to find the zone

Great win after that ball kick last night.

Outstanding response.  This team seems to have little to no memory.

Very nice to see.

Need that mf'ing win tomorrow.

I would kill most of you for a couple of Kreuz's sausage links right now.

Smitty's>Kreuz and anyone else.  Kreuz BBQ is a pretty close 2nd though.

Up to 15 in RPI and #6 SOS.

Not trying to go full homer, but how could there be 5 teams with a better SOS than Texas?  Seems as if we're playing Top 20 games every time - including some midweek.

Ellis should have scored on that wild pitch

You don’t do that when you’re up 13-1 in the late innings.

IIRC three of those teams are Arky, Stanford, and Tech.

We are helping them when we move up.

You look at a team like Tech, for example, and they don't have anywhere near the ranked matchups that we've had.  That said, they've had exactly zero "fluff" games. Not one "Rio Grande Valley/UTSA type in there. That's what I'd attribute their higher RPI to.  Here's their schedule thus far -

Really encouraging hitting by the squad last night. Hopefully the guys can keep building on it. We have faced some really damn good pitchers the last month. Hopefully as our schedule eases up a bit, guys like Zubua and Hibbeler can get on a roll and build some confidence that carries us to the postseason.

our pitching is good enough to get us to win the conference and host a regional, but we need more consistency out of our hitters, so we don’t drop some games to inferior squads during the season. Our hitting improving will be the difference between us winning series 2-1 or sweeping, and we need to rack up some sweeps in big 12 play this year. The conference, as a whole, seems a little down this year, so we need to take care of business.
