Yordan is going to own the derby at some point.

That's what I told my buddy.  Next year's big show will be Vlad vs Yordan.  They'll hit over a hundred homers each and the winner will be so exhausted he loses to Trey Mancini in the final.

He's going to be stealing every bit of memorabilia and gear he can get his hands on.  That's what I would do, too.

"Hey, guys, do you mind signing these 200 balls for...my cousin?"

It's not worthy of the commercial thread, but the HEB spot where Correa is strumming the guitar and singing "chocolate, caliente, Mexicano, yada, yada yada" sends me into an irrational rage.

You have to get through that to get to the hilarity that is Jose Altuve.

"It's gooooooood."

This is good news. He’s pitched 5 innings in the minors and given up 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 bb. Urquidy or Sneed seem the logical send down but the team is only carrying 12 pitchers right now and they play 14 days in a row coming out of the break. Myles might get the short straw.

Substitute “shower” for “greasy McDonald’s floor” and I’d believe it

At the game Friday, they were advertising a Tyler White meet and greet.  At Freddy’s. Sounds about right.

Just send Sneed, Urquidy, White and Straw out and bring back Smith, Diaz, Correa and someone who can get through more than 3 innings as a starter.

Diaz has been on the shelf for over a month.  Did the dude rip his hammy in half? - "discomfort" my ass!

He reangered it right before he was about to come back

Thursday is also TBD followed by Cole, Miley, JV and TBD (Peacock)

Framber is unofficially the official Thursday starter

source is Luhnow Sunday pregame radio visit

Hmmm. Valdez isn’t even on the roster. I guess Urquidy gets sent down for him.

I need to caveat my source...it was Ford and sparks during sunday’s game indicating Valdez would likely be the Thursday starter. I can’t remember if they were referencing Luhnow’s pregame comments or if there were other hints that led them to believe that.

Nope:

Reed going straight to the AAAA squad. Will open the 2nd half on the White Sox.

wish he had worked out in our system. As it is, I’m glad we’re at a point that we can DFA major leaguers.

O/u on JV bombs tomorrow night?
1.5 feels right (and I’m taking the over)

Cora stated on the radio he has already mapped out the 1st 5 innings and he listed 5 different pitchers.  I am not a math major, but I think it is safe to assume JV is only going 1 tonight so you may want to redo your layout you had on a previous post lol

Yeah, I’m well aware he’ll pitch 2 innings at most.

I’m also aware, best case, he’ll face four lefties and won’t face a guy with less than 20 HRs this year:

Yelich (31)

Baez (22)

Freeman (23)

Bellinger (30)

Arenado (20)

Bell (27)

I love JV and feel good he’ll be there when we need him in October, but like Clemens in 2004, I’m afraid he gets roughed up tomorrow.

Yelich: HR

Baez: K

Freeman: BB

Bellinger: K

Arenado: K (passed ball)

Bell: HR

Contreras: K

The rare 4 K, 2 HR inning with no balls in the field of play

Wrong!

post less

what an idiot

Do not, even indirectly, criticize the greatness that is HEB's Mexican Hot Chocolate ice cream.
