What is Tyler White good at when it comes to baseball?

Wasn't his fault. Deshields beat the throw anyway.

Fat boy needs to stretch.  It's always his fault until he's gone and we can turn on someone else.  Possibly Correa.

Myles Straw graduated from prospect status. With that happening mlb.com had to add a prospect to the top 30 and it was a 1st baseman at Round Rock. Time to trade Tyler White for international prospect money and promote this guy:

Taylor Jones | Rank: 30 (Preseason: NR)

Team: Round Rock Express (AAA)ETA: 2020Position: 1B/OFAge: 25 DOB: 12/06/1993Bats: R Throws: RHeight: 6' 7" Weight: 225 lb.Drafted: 2016, 19th (577) - HOU

Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 50 | Run: 40 | Arm: 55 | Field: 60 | Overall: 40

Jones spent most of his first two years at Gonzaga as a pitcher and didn't become a full-time starter at first base until his senior year in 2016, when he set a school record and finished second in NCAA Division I with 27 doubles. After signing for $2,500 in the 19th round that June, he didn't stand out until he swatted 18 homers between Double-A and Triple-A in 2018. He has posted the best numbers of his career this year in Triple-A, though 2018 first-rounder Seth Beer is coming up behind him at the same position.

Jones creates a lot of leverage with his 6-foot-7 frame, but he didn't start hitting for power as pro until he stopped diving too much at the plate and did a better job of staying back on pitches. There could be more pop to come if he can add more strength to his lanky build. He has done a better job this season of using the entire field and driving more balls in the air, and he doesn't swing and miss excessively despite his long limbs leading to a naturally long right-handed swing.

Part of a Washington state 4-A basketball championship team at Kentwood High -- where his baseball teammates included future big leaguers Reese McGuire and Austin Voth -- Jones is a good athlete for his size. He's not a huge factor on the bases but is a quality defender at first base and has a strong arm for his position. He also can play an adequate left field and has gotten a taste of this base this year.
