Houston fan in me is thinking they are going down in 5 games to the rays.

The PTSD from so many years never completly goes away, does it?

Some people just aren't cut out for baseball.  They still like to post though.

It’s mind-bottling.  It’s like they haven’t watched this team over the past three years.

We’re going to win this series. The problem is that it will screw up the rotation for the ALCS

Cole will still start 2 games and Verlander will still start 2 games.  How screwed up can it be?

We said screw it this weekend and bought tickets through stubhub.  It was more expensive, but at least we got good seats for 4 of us.

What else did you do for "the four of us"?

Maybe, but I think Cole is less likely to implode in a do or die game 5 than higher home run risk rested JV.  So the gamble may still pay off for the series.

Feels like the 2017 playoffs, with ups and down and the outcome never assured until late WS game 7.

Good point. I think I’d rather have Cole than JV too in a must win game.

Pull him skip

Do you pull him hoping he can still possibly pitch maybe 1 relief inning (only if needed) on Thursday if Astros lose tonight.

Or.... Do you hang in there with him, maybe all he gives up is at most another run or 2, chews up 5+ innings tonight and saves rest of Astro arms?

I still haven’t recovered from Mets 1986 series.

All because that bastard ump robbed Knepper of that strikeout in the 9th of game 6.  And illegally let Wally Backman run out of the baseline to avoid Glenn Davis's tag in game 3 in New York.

But I'm not bitter or anything....
