They’ve won fewer games against the second easiest schedule in the league to this point, compared to Houston playing the 4th most difficult.

and the Astros won the majority of those games with a healthy starting cast. We are 10-4 since the 2019 massage incident, half of those games were against two of the worst teams in baseball. The Yankees are a very good team when 100% healthy too, it's ok to say it.

I guess I missed where the merits of any team at 100% health had been debated.  Maybe you were so busy trying to be snarky you forgot what you were supposed to be talking about.

FWIW, the Yankees are 4-6 in their last 10 and have lost series to the world beaters in Cleveland and Toronto in that span.

That the Yankees have been able overcome their injury situation as well as the Astros, which has actually been much worse than the Astros.

Judge has played 20 games

Gregorius 4

Stanton 3

Andujar 12

Severino has yet to pitch in any games, equivalent to Cole

Betances hasn't pitched in any games, equivalent to Pressly

Ok, yeah their guys have been out longer.  I thought we were just comparing the talent that's out right now.  There I think it's fairly close.

Watching games the last few days I've seen Altuve, Springer, and Diaz all on the bench. I have not seen Correa. Maybe he's been there and just not shown or maybe I just didn't see him.  Odd that he's not at the ballpark. Also, I get needing some time to recover from broken ribs, but 6+ weeks like they're saying? Football players play the next week, and that's from getting hit by 300 pound athletes. He cracked ribs getting a massage. I get that baseball is different and swinging a bat at the velocity needed is near impossible with pain in your midsection. But, once the initial pain is gone, and with the help of a few meds, I'd think he could play sooner. I'm not inclined to be a conspiracy theorist but I'm not sure we're getting the whole story.

I'm sure many here will be quick tell me I'm an idiot - trust me that's not a big stretch - but I'm skeptical.

Correa won't play unless he feels 100%.  He's not gritting his teeth through anything.

Guess he was feeling peachy keen while hitting like 2019 Tyler White the whole 2nd half and playoffs last year?

Severino is equal to Cole?  Other than that sweet 5.57 ERA in the second half of 2018.

And Betances has never had a run like Pressly the last 150 games.

Also MLB.com just had an article about breakout prospects for every team and this was the Astros: Astros: Abraham Toro, 3B (HOU No. 21)
Scouts inside and outside the Astros organization have said Toro is one of the best all-around hitters in the system, even if he didn't have the big numbers to show it. He does now, building off a strong Arizona Fall League performance to bat .297/.397/.586 with 10 homers in 60 Double-A contests. Yet another product of Houston's deft scouting efforts with Oklahoma junior colleges, he was a fifth-rounder out of Seminole State in 2016.

Hell yes, I like this. Have your two best hitters atop the lineup. I'd switch Yuli with Reddick though.

agree i like as well.

as for the switch - in the history of the franchise, have we ever had a lineup that alternated righty-lefty the entire way?

hey why not.
