At what point does AJ take some blame for this shit show we’re trotting out?

Serious question, what should he do differently?  Harris has let almost no inherited runs score. Two did tonight. Pressley had an 0.81 era coming into the game tonight. He gave up two earned runs. A couple of days ago Osuna blew a save against the reds. Totally unexpected.  Altuve is having a shit year, but you gotta play him. The only thing I question is keeping White in the lineup, but he doesn't have a lot of options right now.

Tell Luhnow to go get him major league players to replace the non-MLB players on his 25 man roster.

whitley won't see even see a sept call up this year. he's currently on the IL for shoulder fatigue after being bombed the first two months of the season in RR

springer / reddick / brantly - who sits so tucker can get bats every day ? tucker will be a sept call up

yuli is on this team until the end of the 2020 season

Yep. But I was saying that's who teams are going to want first if we want MLB talent.

Maybe not Whitley anymore, but teams are going to want Tucker for sure.

This game had a very “rock bottom” feel to it.
Incredibly horrible on defense/ everything that could go wrong did go wrong (2 short porch homers, no overturned call on the CF catch, not holding a lead once you finally get one

I think the tide starts turning tomorrow.

(JV still gonna give up a 500’ homer though I fear )

I hope you're right. I fear we lose tomorrow just to put a bow on it and come home and start over.

Baseball can be so cruel.

You set yourself as much as possible, trying to have depth on top of depth and have guys that can play multiple positions

And it still screws you over by knocking out your Marwin replacement and Correa at the same time and leaving your hands tied if someone else on the infield is struggling

Or you could approach it like the Yankees and go get MLB players when your backups to the backups of the starters either get hurt or are not performing and figure it out when everyone gets healthy.

You could
And it ain’t gonna make a shit whether you win 110 or 95 games come the second week of October.

Edit: although, if the Yankees approach doesn’t result in any more regular season wins than the Astros, tomorrow’s game becomes huge for a game played in June 23:

If Astros/Yankees finish with the same record, tomorrow’s game decides who gets home field advantage if they face each other in the playoffs (I’m assuming both win their division)
