Welcome to Houston sports fandom, youngsters and transplants.  We are the original Choke City.  And now we Took it Back.

Just accept it.  The sun will still rise tomorrow.  Life is still good, it's just a game we watch.  And was damn fun for the last 7 months, absent the last few innings that native Houstonians knew would come.

No snow to shovel off our cars, and great Tex-Mex food anytime you want it.  Could be worse.

This right here. Anyone living in Houston for more than the past few years knew this was the default. This game is the epitome of Houston sports fandom.

Ill always have this memory in Mr.Crane's office. Got to see my son hold the WS trophy and wear a world series ring. 1d035560a94c092217c81b3d1dfc732f.jpg

I just went in to check on the 7 month old sleeping. Helps calm me down. No sports for the rest of 19.

Well at least for a week.

Absolutely. I’d say it’s worse.

Not worse. Most of this bunch won the WS two years ago and the Nats are a better team than the Cardinals were that year. Rangers blew a 2-run lead in the bottom of the 11th in Game 6 and had a catchable ball (for anyone not named Nellie Cruz). Rangers lose, get beat in Game 7 and haven't sniffed a championship since. And there isn't one coming any time soon either. That was worse.

There's always room for improvement.  Like maybe Bregman and Correa not run their stupid mouths so much.  So cringy hearing this team talk about being a dynasty.  You have to win more than one before even being in the conversation.

So the rumor is Correa was injured when Daniella found out he cheated and took a bat to him.

I would really like to unload him in the off-season after we sign Rendon.

Thanks for a great year, Astros.

Puts 2017 in perspective, you’ve got to be good, you’ve got to get the breaks.

Thanks guys for all the posts and contributions and game threads throughout the year. As an out of towner who had to follow mlb.com box scores for updates, they were greatly appreciated.
