Why the hell do they keep giving odor special treatment? Always in the lineup. Always hitting second.

santana has outplayed him by a wide margin and they’ve had a similar number of at bats this year. If we lose Santana, I’ll be pissed. The guy is hitting .345

Odor may or may not make ~13X more than his replacement. When he's healthy, he's gonna play

Don’t you think that sends the wrong message tho?

the best player should play. Period. Odor hasn’t done shit this year.

So seeing that highlight of sosa hitting 600th hr earlier in broadcast got me thinking.... We have got to see some great moments as a fanbase...really only missing a WS win

600 hr sosa
500 hr raffy
3000 hits beltre
No hitters (5) ryan blyleven bibby and kenny
Perfect game kenny
1500 rbi raffy

5000 K - Ryan

100+ RBI by the All-Star break was another cool accomplishment (Juan Gonzalez)

I'm looking at my daily email from baseball reference:

Yesterday's Top Performers

Batters:

Nolan Arenado* (COL): 3-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R

Javier Baez* (CHC): 3-5, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R

Adalberto Mondesi* (KCR): 2-3, 1 RBI, 1 R, 2 SB

Ketel Marte (ARI): 2-2, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 R

Jose Abreu (CHW): 2-4, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 1 R

Willson Contreras (CHC): 2-3, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R

Danny Santana (TEX): 2-3, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 R

Who is Danny Santana and why is he not a regular fixture in our lineup?

He’s a guy whose had some injury troubles the last few years and might’ve been misused by teams that had him.

hes hitting over .350 and it makes no sense that he’s not in the lineup everyday. Our organization doesn’t appear to be very smart anymore.

Odor is hitting #2 again tonight. What is this non sense?

He's basically how Michael Young was with Wash. He's going to play no matter what.

The big difference is Michael Young was actually good.

Good job. Not only did Odor shit the bed tonight, so did Santana.

Odor's contract is an epic disaster.

It really is and the rangers have been doubling down on the mistake by giving him unlimited playing time with prime slots in the lineup.

the lineup was clicking before he came back and now it looks disjointed.

His horses should be repossessed.

If he’s as good at horse training as he is at hitting the baseball, they would’ve starved to death a long time ago.

20. Texas Rangers

WIN FORECAST: 77.8 | CHANGE FROM APRIL: +5.2

DIVISION%: 1.6 | PLAYOFF%: 9.0

PENNANT%: 0.4 | TITLE%: 0.1

Biggest fix: The Rangers' catchers (Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Jeff Mathis) have been baseball's worst. Mathis' revered framing abilities have been muted, with Baseball Prospectus rating him at just plus-0.3 in framing runs above average. Meanwhile, Kiner-Falefa ranks last among all catchers with minus-3.2. Like the Mariners in their own division, the Rangers weren't really thought to be contenders this season. But here they are, hovering around .500 with a plus run differential. If they hang in, finding a better partner for Mathis would be a cheap upgrade.

Potential solutions: Martin Maldonado, Royals

I remember finding out about Mathis' signing and Beltre's retirement announcement on the same day.  I said that was the darkest day in Rangers' history.

No, it wasn't.

That roof is going to be open about as much as Jerryworld's is.

Exactly. They are not building this new stadium and pushing this indoor ballpark just to have the roof open quite a bit. Even on the days where it's mild it will be closed I am assuming. I have never seen a baseball game indoors and never though I would but oh well. It's done now.

Last night, sixth inning, runners on first and second, odor strikes out. Obvious bunt situation. We know this .130 hitter can bunt. Had he done so, they would have probably scored what would have been the tying run.

Today, fifth inning, same situation only it was Mazara, batting .230 at the plate. He hits into a double play. They intent. walk Gallo and Cabrera flies out to deep right.

I think it's a mistake to not take the sacrifice. They're shitting away wins.
